Nice combinations. smile

*brain overload*

Riveting stuff. Thank you.

Okay, an0va, I did 2 quick versions and put them up on my soundcloud. Not the best quality or playing but one day I'll do a better one in a better area.
Edit: and their really quiet because I used soundcloud app. Also the second one is much faster lol

This thread has turned into a "post pictures of yourself thread" thread.

Also, vellain, is your avatar a picture by pyromaniac (pairo) from deviantart?

Relevant to thread: I play piano.

Well, now let's put this to bed.

Put to bed. And rest. I stand knowledged.

an0va: I will try. It might come out really muddy. And my piano is a half step out of tune. I'll have to re-learn it today.

Yes. Couple ways to look at it: 4/3 is 4/4 with a swing beat (but more mechanical) or 3/4 played much faster but without the accent on 2 and 3. More on 1. To me it's the way of saying "swing" in a time signature. The best way to visual see it is to go in a DAW like flstudio and change the time signature to 4/3.
Glad you like the song. I just went and tried to play it on the piano again. smile

Here's the song I was talking about in the topic post:

In the description I said 4/3 and 3/4, when it is in fact 3/2. It's poly in parts. Mostly during the theme, which was a pain to write on piano.
4/3 is my favorite though.

I fell in love with 5/4 after I wrote an orchestral song in it. It took a while for my brain to actively think in it. You did some cool stuff with it.

That's not a time signature.

Yes, yes it is. Just think about it.

I'm curious of stories of people dabbling with time signatures like 5/4 or polyrhythms on lsdj.
I once did a poly song in 4/3 and 3/2.

Examples'd be nice too. I might upload it today.

Life. . . but also crime. Go steal stuff.

I feel like I've learned so much about people's love for their hair.

I won't brag, but I have a mohawk thing going now.

All of the songs I've posted here, except for "Eve" and "when you feel like it", use 2 carts. The best example I have is "Flight" where the song starts off on one cart and adds another with a different rhythm. The most prolific being "our departure" or "cinema" considering their both dubstep so a lot of different things go on at once.
In "our departure" I double up the lead, bass, snare (noise and kit), and make 5ths.

But, yeah, everything luke said.

Oh shit, I need popcorn!
