I love all the posts by that lame dude who got banned. hahaha..
"banned" plastered all over that thread. Good times.. good times..

Let me tell ya.. building a synth is by far one of the most fun things one could do.
But it takes a lot of dedication, time and money. It's worth it though. Once you work through all the bugs and kinks...
You can pat yourself on the back and say.. "i built that" and smile. smile

YES!!!! :-D

tell ya what.. make it $15 shipped and i'll wire it up for ya. wink

Keep in mind too that these jacks are Stereo. So your jack on your NES would need to be stereo. that way you're using the T and R . and the sleeve can be used as it should be.. for ground.

looking at the pedal again.. it has another 1/4" hole for the 1/4" jack... you could hook up another jack to the normally closed side so it was wired for both.. might be kinda cool. so depending on which jack you plug into, the switch would be normally open or normally open.

i recycled an old DOD D.I. it's made of casted steel i believe. think it's too heavy for aluminum.
I recommend maybe putting in a junked XLR connector to fill the hole on the edge (as you can see in the image).
nothing major.. but it's there. haha I can toss one in the box w/ it if i can find one if you want it.

Wish little boots was in my band. hehe

I did this type of mod to a game boy once for the start button a few years back.... here's a picture of it.

just a simple momentary footpedal pushbutton. wired it up to a 1/4" jack and then an 1/8" jack on the dmg... (same spot as my audio mod jack location)
Works very nicely. it can be wired for normally open or normally closed.. which was nice.

in fact.. if anyone wants they.. they can have it for cost of shipping ($5-6)

i hope to god the frog was dead before you did that... jesus thats animal cruelty to the max.

check your PM's Tony. tongue Sorry i've been MIA... I believe the term is... Whipped.. lol

Huh... so are there ANY differences between the two?

Also, most of the Arduinoboys and MC2s I've seen have like 4 or 5 green led indicators. Are there really 4 - 5 different modes? If so, can you tell me what each one does because I've yet to see a picture of one that has the LEDs labeled. I really appreciate all your help.

This is why there are manuals and websites on the net to read... Go to firestarters page, and Trash80's page for the understanding of what each one does.
Little-Scale also has a nice comparison chart for what each one does over the other on his website.

i got a great idea....

quit fucking around with game boy technology and use a plug in if you want crystal clear square waves..
otherwise.. deal with the signal to noise ratio and just make music.

I see people go back and forth on the output modification argument and it's like.. why? it's a 20 year old game boy. deal with the noise or move on and use an emulation plug-in.

packing all these stupid concepts into old technology is stupid.  The effort involved isn't worth the small change in the end result.  So you might as well just get over the noise... get over the "lack of frequency response" and just concentrate on the important things... THE MUSIC

I'm not dissing the pcb design or anything like that.. it's the argument over the audio quality, etc. IT'S A GAME BOY. lol.

agreed. output amp is very important. you really shouldn't just top off the main outputs of the CPU.
