I am reading through some old posts and am realizing that perhaps the ~16 songs I can store on 1 side of an EMS cart ARE using the entire available space.

Can someone explain: are the .gb and .sav using the same storage?  Or are they separate?

Anyone know a way to expand an LSDj save storage to fill one side of one of those 64Mbit EMS GB carts?  I tried using MottZilla's storage manager for multiple instances of LSDj on one side of the cart, but had some issues.  What I would really prefer is to use all of the available space on the cart, probably 32Mbit - 1 side?, for save files.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah I can try throwing a resistor on there. Can't remember if the back light came with one - this is an old backlight I ordered from kitsch-bent probably two years ago. Never got around to actually installing it. I could have sworn a resistor was integrated but I can't really remember and they no longer offer this model on their site so I cannot check.

Any idea what resistor I should try? Preliminary research suggests a 100 ohm will do the trick. I am sure I have one laying around.

Also yes, I will cut the wires down eventually. Was just testing at this point.

Can anyone advise how to fix this problem I'm having with this greyboy? I started to install a backlit screen and noticed that the contrast is all messed up. I have to crank the pot to see much of anything, and when I do, the contrast is not distributed evenly. There's too much being drawn vertically in areas where there are supposed to be many pixels, and not enough drawn where there are less supposed to be less pixels. Take a look at this video.

Batteries are good, other screens (entire front PCB to be precise) work okay. Changing games only manifests the problem in slightly different ways depending on how many pixels are supposed to be drawn at a time. Heating the strip below the screen doesn't do anything useful - all the lines are there, they just aren't being drawn correctly.

Maybe caps are bad? Messed up ribbon?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

How could it be that noone mentioned Dubmood's recent material?

I am specifically looking for two of either the 8580 or 6582 SIDs.  They need to match.

Come on over guys.

He isn't asking about stereo SIDs, he's asking about stereo output for the three voices of a single SID.

+1 for MaxYMiser assuming you aren't using a monochrome screen.

I have had some bad experiences with floppies made with Windows running on an ST.  Rainbow TOS seems to be the solution.  Check the about screen: http://www.larwe.com/museum/img/tos_about.gif

If it says 1985, you have an older (stock) TOS.  Rainbow TOS will say something like 85, 86, 88, 89.

I don't know what all the negative energy is about.  Posted a WTB on Craigslist.  Found one yesterday and bought it today from a swell guy named Steve.

Thanks for the response, 4mat.  I will check on the BLASTER line later, but I know for a fact I already spent some time changing and tweaking it's variables in my AUTOEXEC.BAT (or was it CONFIG.SYS?)  Didn't seem to help.

I think I'm just SOL to be honest.  I will do some research on GUSEmu32 because I'm not familiar.

And yeah, I know that Dosbox is awesome, I just wanted to use this ole lappy because it's got a real classic look and feel.  And the multimedia dock has a handle smile

If I have any solutions to my problem I will make sure to post here.
