Cybergoth? Do people seriously call it that? Front242 must be spinning in their graves

Don't see why..  tiz a cool name! ^_^
It's more the image,  (cyberfalls,  uv reactive gear,  gas-masks,  tron-esque gear,  etc..),,  that gets called Cybergoth but sometimes the music does,  too.
Most people that go to the goth clubs I do are also Front 242 fans.   I don't think they (Front 242) would take what people call it that seriously.

it's like techno for goths

Correct! ^_^
Another name often used for EBM is Cyber-Goth.
I provide these links merely as examples..  hope that's OK...

Bands to check out are VNV Nation,  Code 64,  Apoptygma Berzerk,  Assemblage 23,  etc...

Think of it as a form of Electro-Goth/Cyber-Goth synth pop/industrial crossover.
Often 8-Bit and Chip sounds are used in EBM and a lot of alternative artists who do Chip music also do EBM.
I always try to include a bit of a Chip/8-Bit element in all my music.

Hi,
In the absence of an introductions page I thought I'd post a little intro here.
I am Scottish and have been producing both chip music and alternative music (EBM,  Industrial,  Future Pop,  Synth Pop,  New Romantic,
etc...) for many years.

Here is a little sample of what I do... ^_^
