Oh, interesting, I thought the NES itself could only play back FDS and MMC5 expansions.

I looked and found a kind of truncated release note in the nanoloop 2 specs on the site:

New in Verison 2.6.0

- Ping-pong mode is back.

New in Verison 2.5.5

- Bug in manual playback fixed.

New in Verison 2.5.4

- Scrambled icons in arpeggio mode corrected
- Pause & resume playback with A / B at tempo control
- When paused, manual, stepwise playback with A is possible.
- Setting delay from within menu affects only even steps, so that a swing factor can be applied easily.

What about adding Powerpak expansion chip audio out?

You're referring to the Famicom Disk System channel, right?

I've got a cart in the mail, but I didn't really get to play with the previous version much, so I might not be much help answering this question.

I'm under the impression that it's mostly a bugfix release. Here's a quote I have from the man himself:

The 2.6 cart contains the same circuit and chip as the original 2.3 cart, which has proven to be reliable over many years.

Software-wise, 2.6 is only a minor update to 2.5.

Justin Thursday makes a prefab kit for this, FYI.

Damn.

Whoah, that is more information than I could have possibly hoped to find!

Thank you for filling me in!

Ahhh, I didn't know that. sad

DPDT switches should be easy as hell to get, I am pretty sure you can get at least one type at RadioShack.

That modded NES is pretty cool, but I'm not in the market right now. Too overextended on GB stuff. hmm

When/if we bump into each other soon, I'd be quite interested in talking shop about how you've done some of it, though. wink

For moving that NES, here's a tip: Try editing the big ticket items into the thread title! I didn't realize you even had an NES on offer, but I wouldn't miss that in the thread title. Not to tell you how to run your show, though; just making a suggestion.

Yeah, I have no personal experience with him, but I hear the talk.

It looks like he offers some cool stuff, I don't see a lot of people making some of the things he does; since I'm stateside, though, there's no reason for me to order from the UK.
