"Sequences?"

All three should flash when the keyboard receives power and turns on. I've never seen mine active while actually using the keyboard.

Assuming your keyboard is receiving power from the game boy, all three should flash once when you turn on the game boy with the keyboard connected.

I really love how the Japanese DMG packaging says "HANDY GAME MACHINE."

Because Sabrepulse isn't real chipmusic.

Sabrepulse played a show in my friend's front yard during SXSW one time. True Story.

My point is I'm cool, you guys.

I'm really hoping we keep dicking around in the thread regardless.

Man. This place, noichan, and in some regards micromusic seem like the only places left for the chip community in a big way anymore.

It'd be sad if this place did go 8bc somehow. sad

I know this thread is pretty well necromanced, but if the option of making these does come up again, I would like one.

I don't know where I'll ever get a transferrer/programmer otherwise—Unless I build one.

Bummer. sad

I mean, for real though. :3

On that note, I really hope this thread digresses into a puerile discussion of who the cutest female olympians are.

nice to see some more cycling fans at cm.o

Cycling is the sport it is ok for nerds to like.

Seriously, myself and one other guy were the only Liberal Arts majors on my college team.

Everyone else was an engineer.

ant1, did you watch the women's road race today? That was a...boring finish.

Did Julie Krasniak race this year? Because :3 :3 :3

Actually, I went ahead and made a kit with most of those samples just for the hell of it.

EDIT: This is my first from-scratch kit, it could definitely be better.

I'm having the same issue—none of the site music seems to be playing.

I wish there was an alt version of LSDJ that doesn't include the ghetto kit by default =\

Like... even a "meme" kit would be better than that...

You can always just delete it and replace it with a custom kit in LSDPatcher…

Perhaps a kit made of the samples you posted?

EDIT: also, I'm pretty sure that the ACIEED kit is now a meme kit, retroactively.

Yeah, you're definitely going to have to open it then…

Weird, I thought the bleep bloop carts just used philip's head screws.

Anyway, I guess step one now is just opening it and busting out your magnifier to look for any obvious damage, bad connections, or missing components.

A q-tip and alcohol is a good start.

It could also be the contacts inside the game boy, but if other carts/games work, probably not.

You're either getting a bad connection, or the ROM is corrupted somehow, in which case you will just have to reflash the cartridge and see if that works. I corrupted my ROM once by trying to run the PROM-only PIXELH8 programs off of my EMS carts. hmm

Anyway, clean it again and reinsert it a few times to see if that gets a better connection.

That's why I said "2007" the first time…

Yeah, my flagship DMG is the one with my name in sharpie on the back from age 4. smile
