pm'ing about arduinoboy

I'm bumping this to ask again for advice on what to do to get a beat-sync between lsdj and the Electribe machines. Thanks!

I'm in the same boat, I bought something from back in Fall and he hasn't been able to send it to me. Last I heard from him was a couple months ago. hmm

I went ahead and bought the EA-mkii... .-. I'm not looking to directly control anything through midi, I just need a beat match between the two. I've read that using a gameboy, the tempo in lsdj naturally is off by a little bit, so I'm guessing I couldn't simply beat match them manually, like I do when I go 2xlsdj.

I'll probably be going with an Electribe, either the ES-1 or the EA-mkii. Any advice on synchronizing either of these with lsdj? Am I going to need an Arduinoboy as well? I don't know much about midi...

I think I like this idea best

I'd like to get some new gear to play around with. Gameboys are cool and all, but I'd like to branch out a little bit.  Currently I'm just using two gameboys with lsdj mixed with a Numark X6. Occasionally I'll add a reverb pedal to the mix.

I can't spend any more than 200$. I'm looking for something small that I can synthesize and compose with. (not just a keyboard synth, but something I can program.) It doesn't necessarily have to be a tracker although that would be a bonus, and it would need to have support for multiple song saves. Ideally I could sync it with my lsdj setup without too much hassle.

LGPT seems like a viable option, but I'm curious for anything else out there. And I don't have a psp or anything else to run it on besides a laptop.

Some common things I see people mixing into their chip setups are Kaoss Pads and Kaossilators, I've looked these over but I'm hesitant to get one. I've played around with a friends kaossilator and it's a ton of noisy fun, but only being able to hold and loop a couple bars of music at a time does not seem useful to me.

I've been eyeing the Nerdsynth, that's probably the closest thing to what I'm looking for, but who knows when it will be available.
The Bastl Instruments and the Acid-Py groove box look pretty cool.

Can I download this anywhere man? Sweet stuff, I'm 25 minutes in. Would have been a fun set to see live.

Hey this is rad, thanks for sharing. I've been eye-ing the KPs, is it easy to get lsdj synced with them?

psychedelic can mean lots of different types of music!

which type do you like?

I love Arabian and Indian sounding instruments and scales, coupled with the all wompy, bubbling, trippy, glitchy noises in modern electronic psy.
I've been listening to Kalya Scintilla, Shwex, Sun in Aquarius, and Quanta to name a few artists. They're worth checking out. I'm trying to go that direction with my chipmusic and have been wondering if others have done the same.

I'm convinced zanzan is some kind of wizard. A lot of his stuff is gold. I've seen Fraktal Face around, with a name like that I'm already intrigued. haha. And I hadn't thought of him before but kplecraft totally fits the bill as well. I'll check out all the others. I listen to your music a lot too Jelli smile
