This. While there may be some difference in sound, there really is not enough to completely justify using 1/4" (Unless, perhaps, you're going for some high-quality lossless audio release). Most (non-dj) mixers use 1/4", so having a respective jack greatly simplifies one's setup. 1/8" plugs right into most computers and commercial headphones/earbuds, and for that 1/8" is preferable for quick and efficient recording/listening. It all just depends what you're planning to do.
I think this sums up the thread.

edit:spelling
for instance lets say I were to plug a amp into my gameboy
what are the advantages of each jack? Sorry in advance if this is a noob question.
but everything else like I said before the sound, the backlight still works properly
When I pressed the ribbon cable underneath the LCD the screen started to show the loaded up game that was inserted (which was Tetris) stayed on the screen for about 3 seconds til it went blank again so I pressed on the ribbon cable but the screen didnt show like it did previously just stayed blank
I think the ribbon cable underneath the LCD lost connection or something... best to look for another dmg now
Also I still hear the sounds when it turns on
Backlight works but when I turn it on nothing spears on the screen /: no Nintendo bar ... Does anyone know the reason for this??

I found the website saw a nifty selection of colors. When you sprayed the dmg pink did you use the "fluorescent pink" or "pink" ?
What did you use to spray them?
