Yeah! I found out later, after a bit research that these require a special "flasher".

No they don't require any flasher, but they require that you transfer files with it's own software.

How do you make the connection between software and your "BennVenn 256M GB Flash Cartridge"? wink

Hint: http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/be … -cartridge
Hint 2: "a BennVenn Reader/Writer (Gen1/Gen2) is required to re-write these carts."

Hi Folks,

Where can I find those "GB Gameboy USB Smart Card" cheapest nowadays? (alternatives would also be fine)

The thing is about the Genesis is that it uses pretty much the same sound chip as the DX7, so if you want to make some MD music just load up a copy of Dexed in FL Studio and you'll be golden

Using Dexed (https://asb2m10.github.io/dexed/) to generate some FM sounds is a brilliant idea. There is just two facts you forgot to mention in this comparison:

1.    DAC (the actual devices are much more noisy compared to a PC emulation (VSTI), some love it, some hate it)
2.    Genesis use 4-OP and DX7/Dexed use 6-op to make the algo.

Did anyone hear about THIS?

This is quite interesting as this “Rhea project” was from 2014 (2 years old).

Well, considering Count Symphonic had been planning and working on this for years now, with huge gaps of radio silence, I'd say no. He's just doing this in his free time, so be patient.

Okay, thanks for the reply.

Is this the only forum where the team post about this project?

32 channels FM+PCM... Ohh I need Sega Saturn now. Its like Megadrive on steroids!

This is interesting news.

Wait wait, I don’t understand this part!

32 channels as 32 midi channels? (32 channels that can play 32 separate patches multitimbral) or 32 channels as 32 Polyphony?

Concerning the sound chip (YMF292 or Saturn Custom Sound Processor). If I understand it correctly then its only 32 if you only use 1-op pr. voice and maximum is 4-op? (Which is equal with a Yamaha FB-01?)

My next question would then be:
•    Would it be possible to integrate a midi-interface?

i would not bet on it, its a Chinese Floppy disk, its look like that you are in Germany due to Amazon.de,
i can see there is some IBM floppy disk on ebay, i would rather try an Ibm floppy instead of a Chinese Floppy disk, but i can't promise that it works.

First of all, thanks for your reply and your links smile

I give that Chinese a try as I found one for 6 € and then I give a feedback here. I want to use it for making Atari Cubase disks. I live in Germany, that’s why I used Amazon.de big_smile
