Oh sorry! I thought Lazerbeat was referring to his own post : P

Thank you ryba for your answer. My problem here is that I'm quite new to electronics and although I see the one I ask for is like a fusion of the two circuits, I think I might not be able to mix them myself properly.

Hello everyone!
I found yesterday this thing on youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzqrMC1c … ature=plcp

It's damn cool. In the description there's a link to a rough hand-made schematic on which I don't understand certain things. I was wondering if, by chance, someone had a clearer schematic. I want this to be my next project : )
Thank you!

Amazing! How perfect finishes...

@Krubbz It'll be 15 Euros, according to www.correos.es

Hi guys!
I'm selling this unusual electronic instrument. It's called "Otamatone". Its functioning is very simple. By touching the sensitive slide in its neck, you play different notes. Also by opening and closing its "mouth" you can turn up or down volume on will, or get effects like vibrato.
It has 3 different octave modes and 2 volume modes as well. It works through a built-in speaker which is inside the "face", but there are several videos in Youtube of people who have added a line out to it.

It's an interesting instrument to experiment with, and I'm sure that in this community there'll be plenty of people capable of modding it and making it something completely different and cool.

It is brand new. The plastic casing was opened once just to check it's correct functioning. The 3 batteries are still working and included.

And some youtube videos to see how it sounds:

Selling for 20 Euros!
I'd also accept hardware related to DMG's. Just offer : )

@Telerophon Are you finaly going to sell any pre backlit board or front board? I'm asking for them in this thread:

Thank you!

Hello there. I am looking forward to fix a backlight mod I tried to do. I ended up with horizontal dead lines in my DMG, so I am looking for replacementes of the front PCB in order to get practise on backlighting and, why not, try to do the mod properly.
Does someone sell single front PCBs?

Same thing here Majus, though I'm not ok with a few lines, I want none xD
@Telerophon I'll check that, though I'll have to see prices...

Yeah, I might just get another one... I wanted to make a cool DMG for chiptune, with clear case, green frontlight, custom buttons, pro sound mod etc, so I might try that again on another one.

@rygD Anyway, how does the hair dryer thing work? I mean what do you have to do exactly on the side of the screen with it? Why is it risky?

I'm sorry to hear the same thing just happened to you. I'm resisting to believe that I have ruined the screen forever... Maybe someone's got an idea or recommendation for us.

Hello everyone.
I've spent half of my day trying to backlight a DMG for my first time.
It's been a mess. I couldn't take out the two layers behind the LCD and had to manually scratch all the polarizer with a knife, making some ugly scratches on the screen.
But the problem here is once I finished everything some horizontal lines (all in the same place and one next to the other) have appeared on the upper half of the screen.
I've tried applying pressure to the contacts of the side ribbon cable but doesn't seem to work at all.
I also checked the plastic bus conecting to the side of the screen and looks just fine.
I used rubbing alcohol to clean the screen, is it possible that it did something on the circuitry there?

I hope there's a solution. This is my first proudly backlighted DMG, but with the inconvenience of those damn lines...

Thank you guys in advance.

So it seems that my only chance is trying with another SP frontlight... and see if it's just that I destroyed mine or something else... Thanks for the help guys!

@Apeshit I do have tried to flip it, but that not might be the thing, since it keeps happening. Sure of that? What a mess I've done then...
@Old Beezy I haven't. What's that? Anyway will that solve my problem? When in the dark, the screen is seen completely black, although lighted...
