So I had this idea.
Take an old Guitar Hero Guitar that nobody wants and turn it into a basic synthesizer. Press one of the 5 neck buttons for a note, push the strum bar down for 3rd octave notes, leave it alone for 4th octave notes, and pull it up for 5th octave notes. The whammy bar could be a pitch bend and the +/- buttons can be a hold-for-modulation thing. There will also need to be an audio jack for speakers, to amplify the sound.
Due to being totally new to modding and such, would anybody have any idea how hard, how long, and how possible it would be to build?
If it's too hard for newbie expertise, then just tell me and I'll bug off. I just want to get an idea of what I would be getting into if I were to do this type of thing.

Mod a gameboy, make it look like a rocket launcher, make it massive and call it "FatBoy" (fyeah fallout)

Just a thought, but would you be able to make this so that you could utilize your own music (aka, through VisualBoy, import a tune and play via that)? Don't hate if it's not possible and say that I'm stupid, cause idk much about this stuff.

Hey Guys,
I've been writing this song and I finished it. I think it's pretty good myself, and the few people I've shown it to think that it's pretty good, but I just want to know if anything sounds out of place, missing or if it sounds like there's too much of it. Does that make sense? Thank you.
Here is my song.

Graphite AGS-101 (GBA SP w/ backlight, not frontlight). Damn that thing was awesome. Had a dead pixel fixed on green. That was back when I was 7/8.

Re: GAMEBOY BACKLIGHT VISIBILITY PROBLEM (24 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
He has a point. Also, can you hear sound? Cause if not then it might be completely screwed. If new batteries don't help, then the screen might have been screwed up in the process. Does the backlight even light up when the gameboy is turned on? Oh, and has it been bi-verted, in-verted, etc?

When contrast is at it's highest, you can't see anything no matter what. First off, you mention a backlight in the title but not the post. Is there really a backlight, or is the screen unmodded?

That's printing, not a sticker!
Magic eraser and certain solvents would be best. Razor blades tend to scratch the plastic a bit, especially if they're dull.
Ok thanks. Goo-Gone? Could I dab that on to a cloth and just carefully rub the stuff away? If so, then the citrus smells would fit my dmg colour

Oh man. Those blue buttons. Holy crap. That looks awesome. How well does it function? Any lines on the screen, prosound and such.

I was going to customize my dmg with a few things that I get for Christmas. I was thinking of only the buttons and a screen, but the problem I have is how it's going to look. Would a clear screen, clear buttons and clear st/sel buttons look good on a yellow dmg case? This is the only question I have... I'll then post a photo of the final product. No prosound and backlights and stuff cause I can't solder for shitIt would look nice IMO, but you gotta make sure you get rid of all of the residual adhesive left behind by the previous screen cover first!
Yeah, I was thinking that. With the clear screen, there's no sticker behind it to cover the residue. Would you recommend just scratching it off with a screwdriver or like a magic sponge or something?

Thank you. The humanization thing is a good idea. I'll think about it and try using it.

Hey Guys,
So I recently composed a new tune, and took to heart the "variety needed" comments and such. What I want to know is if my new song still needs more variety, and what else I can do to improve (I'm a perfectionist). This is definitely my favourite song that I've made so far.
I composed it in LSDJ on a Nintendo DS Lite.

What do you think? Please let me know.
Thank you so much
Peace.
