I really dig your music.
My favorite one is Countryside.  Really nice melody + chord progressions, and fun chord substitution section.

Is the music available?

Lots of good stuff here.

yeah, make a batch file that will compile.  As you edit the song and want to hear how it sounds, push CTRL +S in notepad to save.  Then double click the batch file to compile.
I have winamp + chipamp up so then I double click on the song in winamp and listen to it... hitting the arrows to scroll through the song until it gets to the part I want to hear

No you can't convert GB to MML

XPMCK is how you write gameboy music with MML.  It's a bit buggy though.

You thought you would get a faster reply here, but I replied 5 minutes after you made the post on FT forums... which you haven't responded to

Looooove it!

I live in Renton, and never really played live except blipfest open mic, but I'd be interested.

I'm digging this stuff!! Are the NSFs available?  (besides the famicompo mini ones)

I started writing a HuSIC guide a few years ago, but never finished.  I believe some of the information I discovered may not be in ant1's husic zip file.  For example, there is a built-in autoecho macro:  SDx.
Here it is, even though it's unfinished (there may be a couple of errors in there too):

What I was able to find out was from analyzing Naruto's MML files.  http://www.rootnyanplus.com/user/naruto/chiptune.html

edit:  I never realized this before but the #<num> command (insert note for <num> frames into the beginning of the next note), and the k command in conjunction with the SD autoecho macro and the @vr macro(manually decide where to use the autoecho) also work in ppmck!

Oh, yeah, that would be great!

Ah, I understand now.  But I don't know if I like the idea you propose.

The solo button is still very useful to me during playback of the song.  The button would interfere with that.  Basically I would have to toggle the new button on whenever I am playing back and want to use the solo feature, and then toggle it again when I begin editing again.  So it wouldn't save me any time.

I am only concerned about the sound while EDITING the song.

And also, it might confuse other users.  People would wonder "why would anybody ever want to use that button?"

I will just use the solo button when tracking from now on, then unsolo when I want to play the song.  Not too big of a deal.

I'm not sure if we're on the same page here:
As I'm inputting notes, it plays the stuff that the other channels are playing.  I find it extremely distracting.  I only want to hear the stuff I am currently inputting, not the other channels.

If there were a button, it should be called something like "Play Row while editing:  ON/OFF"
Again, I don't want to take up any of your time if it's just me being picky.  Thanks so much Shiru.

Thanks for the quick reply Shiru.  Increasing the range of the FM/PSG slider would be amazing.

If I'm the only one who wants the octave binds, then don't worry about it.  Numpad 1-8 is OK.  I just find it annoying, as I am not usually thinking "which octave am I in right now", and also I would like to use the numpad to input values.

Also, I know about the solo mode, but it is a hassle for me to have to keep toggling it on and off when I am editing and then playing back the song.  Again, if I am the only one who wants this, then nevermind.

If anybody is interested:  My song is here: http://battleofthebits.org/arena/Entry/ … Wind/7027/

Thanks Shiru, this tool is excellent!  I made my first Sega Genesis song for BotB Winter Chip.

The thing that sucks is:  I can't find an emulator/player that matches the volume levels of the PSG.  The PSG is just way too loud when compared to playback in VGMmm.

I don't know if you plan on doing any more work on this, but just in case, I have a couple feature requests (in order of how important I think they are):

1. In Preferences-> FM/PSG balance, make the ability to increase the PSG volume much much louder.  Now, even if you slide it all the way up, the PSG is still quieter than all the emulators/players.  It would be amazing if there were presets for matching the volume levels of in_vgm, kega fusion, foobar2000, etc.  That way when you export to VGM it could sound the same.

2.  The ability to highlight the note, volume, instrument, and effect columns individually.  This way you could delete/copy/paste the volumes without losing the data in the note, instrument, and effect columns.

3.  I would like the option to disable hearing everything when I enter notes.  I only want to hear the channel I am working on.

4.  Bindings for increase/decrease octave.

Once again, thanks Shiru, for making this wonderful program!
