Re: NES audio mods:EXPERTS WANTED (68 replies, posted in Nintendo Consoles)
alpine is correct.. there is no audio in on an NES, specs are here http://nesdev.com/2A03%20technical%20reference.txt
and his picture and many of those in that thread (and this one) were people joking around, not actually real
and no, you don't know what youre doing if you believe there is a way to turn the NES into a bit crushing stomp box (which are something you can actually buy, this one for example http://music.bqturner.com/ProductDetail_i789476 )
people tend to fuck with you on the internet when you don't listen to their advice to begin with

the closest to the stuff you sound like youre looking for (metal influenced chip music) actually comes out on a label i help run (datathrash), though i'd personally advise them to stay away from you based on your behavior
ps: im not a kid, i'm a 34-year-old man with a degree in film/video who has almost definitely done more film and video production work than you and has been using chip stuff in my music since the early 2000's, so save the condescending tone because i COULD do it better if this was for some reason what i wanted to do. knowing your subject matter is key to doing decent work in the documentary field

Re: Video Projector (2 replies, posted in Other Hardware)
the important factors are brightness and contrast ratio... i wouldn't go below 2000 lumens and definitely not below 1000:1 contrast ratio (though beating either of these isn't too hard).. if you arent doing HD, something like this will do just fine

im pretty sure public internet for browsing bandcamp (but not buying, tracks can be streamed) won't put you at risk for anything, regardless of your history
edit: bandcamp even has a phone app, if that sounds too scary for you

Re: How to patch custom waveforms to mgb!! (21 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
i still have them in my archive and had no issues with other gear.. my hunch is that it was midicc message specific the problems others had, as usually i ran it along side drum machines which need no midicc, though i had no crashes even using it in combo with the edirol v4 and korg kaptivator which were using midicc for mixer and effect controls. then again, i have a strange history of things working for me that don't work for others (i never needed to do anything special at all to make piggy spit midi out of my gp2x, just use the normal build as is and it worked for me)

yeah, well you could go with at least a full ep/album that was released by anyone besides the artist themselves...like i said, set the bar a little higher
