though guitar compressor pedals before an eq and distortion can give a pretty nasty sound... i used that combination in all my sets from 2004-2006 on one aux send from my mixer so i could blend it in nicely with the clean signal

if you know how to use noise reduction hardware (like a noise gate) or software, pro sound doesnt really make much difference for recording (since it doesnt entirely eliminate the noise floor, but may save you one pass of software based noise reduction - i usually run 3-4 passes personally).. found it helpful live when i used to used a DMG with a Korg ESX-1, but that was mostly just because the ESX-1 volume level was way higher than a standard DMG... overall, prosound not that important at all...
if connecting to a guitar amp, the amp itself will be by far your biggest source of noise, so i wouldnt worry at all and just buy one of these cables to sum it to mono and give you that 1/4" plug you want http://www.zzounds.com/item--HOSCMP1

yep, this sections is actually meant for when people are sharing info, not asking for it... this would be more of a general discussion topic

any psp works, you can even save some cash and get one thats working with a broken UMD drive if you look around for cheaper (you wont be able to play original copies of games, but to be honest, psp games werent that good anyway).. as far as use of vocals in piggy, check this out http://hexawe.bandcamp.com/track/wake-up-by-ebot  ..vocals are even done as samples in piggy
edit: did you kill your facebook again? people need to stop doing that, thats how people lose touch sad

for me, it depends on the tracker. i usually find piggy to be pretty fast/easy for me, less so with other trackers. that could be because ive written maybe 95% of my tracks in the last 4 years in piggy though

if youre up for some non-game boy dub, check out Framebreaker - "Serial Dub"... apple II dub smile

i'd say take your time. a long time. and when youve waited months, wait a little more. then let the length of the release be determined by what tracks you really like still, months after youve finished them.
you really only have one shot at a first release, better to make it count rather than put it out before youre sure. no harm in dropping demo tracks or whatever here or on soundcloud first, just wouldnt call it a "release" at that point.
total play time of an album isnt really important, if the tracks are good and sound good together.

not possible, only the flat nanoloop one carts have the spare rom slots
