what does the xbox button do?

The xbox home button in the middle is not a functional button but it is illuminated with an LED that matches the backlight and adds the finishing touch to make it really unique.

is the xboxboy functional? O.o

Yup, fully functional smile

That specific console was made by burnfingers who is collaborating with us for custom requests and some awesome pre-made consoles. That one sold a couple weeks ago but I believe an "Elite" version is in the works along with some other very unique items.

Something a little different from my usual custom DMG posts

Just finished these:

I sent them to a customer who is actually turning them into NES controller e-cigarettes (vaporizers)  haha. I'm excited to see the finished product!

Rare blue, clear buttons painted white underneath, white backlight, clear/white start/select, white power indicator, internal pro sound, white screen protector.  No alterations to that lekker shell!!

The internals with mods were a straight transfer from another DMG I had lying around and I put it all together to discover that batteries aren't working in it.  They aren't dead.  Guess I will be taking it back apart letter to see what happened but not right now.

Looks awesome, I'm a sucker for inverted white backlights,  I love it.

What did you do with the other halfs?

He should make an inverted one.

Haha I was anticipating this question. I actually put this together from my personal collection as a project I have always wanted to see done now that I finally found a white PIL. I'm going to re-assemble the original colors, I could never allow myself to separate a white and blue Play it Loud haha. This project was to show a color combination that I have not seen a picture of yet. Just thought it would be a cool thing for everyone to see.

I could make the inverted one and take pics if you guys wanted to see it.

I've been wanting to make this FOREVER and finally had the opportunity to do it, thought you all might enjoy it:

Front shell Play it Loud White
Back shell Play it Loud Blue
White Battery door
Chipmusic in stereo screen cover
Inverted white backlight
Clear blue buttons
Internal prosound

My input from experience: ALWAYS USE A BRAND NEW RAZOR BLADE

After working on countless gameboys I have come to the conclusion that if I always use a BRAND NEW razor blade with every gameboy I NEVER have an issue.

If I ever use one that has been laying around and has been used more than once the chance that I have to spend 25 minutes with rubbing alcohol, goo gone increased dramatically.

I'd rather fork out the $2 at Wal-Mart for 5 blades than spend hours removing the leftover adhesive from the glass. (I of course use the blades for other things rather than throw them out after one use! haha)

Try it out, I bet you'd be very surprised when it works.
