I'm jealous. I bought a couple YMZ294s, but the TNS boards were all out of stock. Now what am I gonna do with 'em?

If you really want one, get one o' them Japanese folk to get one and ship it for you. (They're still for sale, but can't be gotten as "easily". It's even harder now as only TNS is selling them).

Yeah, ImATrackMan I'm so jealous of your cool stuff. I drool over it on twitter when you post something.. *Q*

Oh come on, don't say that~. It is cool stuff, but it's nothing to really be jealous of. It's just a more expensive PowerPak that can't play games or overclock NSFs. Does support every expansion chip at the same time, though.

Side note: You do not want to see the cable jungle behind my desk. There's more thick, tangled, messy "unwanted hair" than a Radiohead doujinshi.

Thanks for sharing. That was really fascinating! The dance of the crow was pretty weird, but cool at the same time.

This one's got some cool arps and Famicom Disk System-style modulation in places

Famicom:
FamiTracker
TNS-HFC5 cartridge (NSF player, 2A03+Sunsoft 5B [optional])
TNS-HFX4 expansion board
-FDS RAM adapter (FDS sound source)
-Lagrange Point (VRC7)
-Moryou Senki Madara (VRC6)
-Youkai Douchuuki (Namco CUS163)
-YMZ294 (Gimmick!-compatible sound source)
-Castlevania 3 (US version, modified for MMC5 sound output)

Gameboy:
LSDj
GB classic
GB pocket (Extreme Green barely visible)
GBC (Berry)
Gamecube + GB Player (not pictured)

I have a bunch more actual games, but those aren't for chiptune-stuff. I have the PVM there because it's still a heavily-used Famicom setup, and it's also used as a second monitor. As you can probably tell, I'm also quite fond of Nyaruko.

brb making a replica of that glove and the power regulator glasses.

[also, Dan, how much for a bag of AM27C020-12s? You got the quality stuff, as evidenced by your friend here]

A trick famously used in H0ffman's "Pattern Skank" module, now found in Famitracker.
FamiTracker settings > untick "preview next/previous frame"
Only works with one-frame modules, any more and everything functions as it should, skipping to the appropriate frame and row, Bxx has no effect.

I'd rather have an anime about an all girl chiptune collective that is 90% eating cake and 10% making music.

2 seasons and a final movie where they go to EINDBAAS, please. Knowing what they did with K-ON they'd probably secure whatever licencing to actually put "FAMILY COMPUTER" and "GAME BOY" on screen, too.
10/10 would buy BDs

I'm just waiting for the anime about 4 seemingly normal highschool girls who spend their nights rocking the dark, seedy chiptune underbelly hidden among the brightly lit streets of Osaka.

Come on, J.C.Staff, I'm counting on you.

Kinda weird that he was chasing around a 10-ish year old?

That's weird?

How could the hardware be unknown?! Do they not pay attention to their MSX musicians? AY/YM is everywhere!

Also, what song is it that you play at 20:15? It sounds very familiar to me, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Chromelodeon's Polygon Sun is 6/8. The original's not exactly chip, but Marshal Art did a cover of it.

Based m7kenji

Hatsume seems cute.

Also, the style the main girl is drawn in at 0:30/the thumbnail REALLY reminds me of Ichigo Mashimaro.
