sweet thanks for your quick reply, what kind of cleaner do you recommend?
just rubbing alcohol with ear buds?

Firstly I'm sorry if this is in another thread, I looked around but could not find the same topic. So if anyone knows of a previous thread just point me in the right direction, and I will say sorry to all.

As the title says I recently bought a grey DMG-001 from Super Potato in Akihabara (Japan), got home put in my LSDJ cart, turned it on and only got the jumbled Nintendo sign. I repeated this many times after blowing on the cart and the cart socket in the DMG but to no avail.
I then tried this with a Tetris cart (I bought only for testing purposes) and had the same result.
I know these carts work because I have been using them on another DMG I have for a while now.
So before I decide to go back to Akihabara and talk to the shop people, I was wondering if anyone here has any advice so I can fix it myself.
Besides it was only 3000yen so it would be easier to fix before making a claim to the shop.

P.S the only thing that the shop stated was wrong with it, is a scratch on the screen.

dam I missed the deadline, maybe give us two weeks next time for the noobs to have a chance.

Hi All,

I have been hanging around CM for a while (just reading posts). I have played guitar and in various bands for about 10 years but for a long time I even rejected any kind of electronic music (meaning no guitar = no good). Slowly I started an interest and about 1-2 years ago I got into Chiptunes. I'm a kid from the 80's so yeah I had a C64 and some gameboys but being a stupid kid I never did anything but play games (regret not learning more like programming). Anyway as I was in bands I have written many songs but they are guitar based, I haven't written any chip music of any kind yet but do own a gameboy with LSDJ also have famitracker (and I have ableton, although this is not very chip). Still learning the software, but hope to get many tips and inspiration for this (great) forum then I will get off my but and complete a song.
BTW I'm from Australia but live in Japan, if there are other CMers living in Japan it would be cool to hook up even just for chip chats etc.
