Latest completion.
Not super fancy, but I think it's good enough for a beginner to play with.

BAM! I only painted this one a year ago, now it finally has parts.

So, here we go. I got parts, I got DMG's, I got ideas.

Let's troubleshoot the latest batch of bricks:

This roasted looking board came out of a $5 thrift store find... How does that even happen?

The screen that was in it was perfect, and I already put the backlight in there.

The other two screens? Uhhhh... Yeah, not so great.
Looks like someone already tried to fix the horizontal lines on this one.

This one has a ton of verts on it, but I've seen worse.

Time to get back to work.

When you have time can you give the silicone buttons a couple test runs and let us know how they to plastic with things like very high levels of tetris and muddygb diagonal notes. With diagonals it is too sloppy for me to consistently hit the note and just that note, without hitting another first.  These being more flexible may have less of an issues with that.

I'll be sure to do that. I downloaded muddygb, just need to do some button swapping and I'll spend a little while mashing on it. I'll also see how good the diagonal action is with some zelda.

OH DUDE!
That shit is LIVE and DIRECT!

Well, that would limit it to my gameboy and my iPhone.... So, 5 or 6?

MY ARMS HAVE HEALED!
Praise science, praise biology, all hail slack.

Anyway. Just got a bunch of crap from Kitsch... Time to make some more cool shit.

I also got one of these sick battery doors. Not sure if I'll put it on a gameboy, or treat it like art and stick it on a shelf with my other dope-ass pieces of crafted creativity.

Well, then talk it up!
I have one left, and I need to get rid of it.

I know! I've seen it before, I feel like I commented on it once before too. wink

I'm glad the stickers I sometimes leave random places occasionally find homes...

I think you are correct... But I'm not too inclined to go back and read through all of my previous posts to confirm that. Let's just consider it a "small wilderness" phenomenon.

Digikey.
Looking up part numbers right now.
I had a look at the switches, and they're a standard componnent.

Or you could just buy a dead GBA from me.

I was gonna say, "now there's a very tempting thing that I absolutely do not need"

but that took care of itself pretty quickly

HA!
Check it out; I have one of your stickers on my desk. Found it at the Crêpe Place in Santa Cruz.

The Cherry Blossom and one of the gray boxes are gone.
So, one gray box remains for a mere $50.
