Specs?

Just dual prosound and a backlight.
It's an early build, and it's aesthetic is to give a little flair for live performances.

From a design standpoint, this has been one of the cooler custom DMGs I've seen here.

Yes, but its apparently the hardest one to sell.

None that I'm aware of.

I was totally content on keeping this little gem when it didn't sell the first time I posted it, but I bought a new bike and screwed up my finances.
$100 shipped.

Sooooo... yeah. I've been living in Stockton for the last couple of months.
Just got a new laptop.
I'm over 100 miles away from all of my projects.
I think I'll start something new while I'm out here, and jump back into my Travel NES as soon as I get back home.

Sorry, this isn't a build update (I'm in Stockton) but I did snag some shit with potential from the flea market!

NES that works pretty well:

A Commodore Plus/4 that I don't have any plans for yet.

I only paid $16 for the pair. Not a spectacular deal, but I certainly didn't pay too much.

That sounds sick!
Do you have a build thread for it?

I prefer the smaller one. I think it has a more authentic appeal.

I was originally going for a larger display, but the convoluted discription a got on amazon led me to getting this 5".
I honestly like the way it looks, and seems reminiscent of screen sizes in the 80's. But this is only a prototype, and the production models will have 7" displays.

Anyways sorry, man, all I meant to say it's awesome smile

Oh... Dude, I thought you were joking around, so I was just playing along.
I'm not that uptight. Relax.

Aaaaaaaaaannnnd now it works.
Not perfect yet. I'm running on external power source, I don't have any audio right now, and the picture is seriously out of adjustment... BUT IT WORKS!
MWAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahaaaaa.
I'm some sort of evil fucking genius!

this nes build is sick. you are a true legend at the franken-case. I bow to the plasti-graft, holy.... wow.

I really dig the power button/reset. screen size is very 80s esque with the consideration of unit to screen etc.

PERFECT. pls finish soon so i can wet pants again

Thank you very much!
This should be be done in about a week.

Didn't spend much time working on this today (busy tuning and upgrading my Gravity Bike) but I did manage to fill in a bunch of holes and took care of some much needed sanding.

Could always refit a larger screen later. Easier to cut a hole bigger then fill in the gaps.

Nah. It's going to get painted, and it's not worth having to strip and repaint, just to have a slightly bigger screen. A display this small is actually pretty close to an appropriate size for the 80's.

MY DISPLAY ARRIVED TODAY!
That's the good news. The bad news is that, because of the convoluted description amazon gave me, I ended up with a screen that is one size smaller than I expected.
No big deal, this is a prototype! Right!?

Moving on.
Measure. Cut. Fit. Glue.

I suppose it looks okay, but I will be getting bigger displays for my "production" models.
