Guys, I was super lucky today! I was just about to leave from work but I decided to stay and help out my co worker a bit. After those extra 15-20mins the phone rang. I answered and there was a customer asking that if we could trade his old Gameboys, or something like that. Needless to say, I was pretty excited and said that I'm gonna buy them for myself. So, I got 2 DMG's with six games, a cable, and a 4port hub. All together 40€. Well, for the customer the price was higher cause i gave him a game and some money but all and all, 40€ from me and now I'm happy!

@ Bit Wish, yeah, but I'm still not sure about GBA SP.
Kuka on Keff?
@ Auxcide, that's a decent price for adapter. If I decide to get GBA SP, I think I'm gonna order one of those. Thank you.

Hmm, I checked this link http://www.herbertweixelbaum.com/comparison.htm that thebitman gave to me.
For my ear the best ones were: 1. DMG with the Pro Sound mod (Nuff said.) 2. GBA (Not perfect but I still liked the sound pretty much.)
3. SD lite (Pretty much same opinion than with GBA. I was actually surprised!)
And the worst ones: 1. GBA SP (Silent parts sounded like my tinnitus would have gone louder.. Sounded little bit like a cricket too.) 2. GBC (Whistling during the song.) 3. Pocket or Micro (Just didn't like the sound that much. And Pocket had those "whistles" too.)
Now when im thinking this whole thing. Is the GBA really that bad after all? It's just like this, GBA's are easy to get and they're pretty cheap too. But on the other hand I haven't heard even one good thing about them.. Still, I don't want to make these hasty "assumptions" or decisions because of the one comparison. Maybe I should just get a GBA and get started and later if I find affordable DMG's, I could get one of those.

@ Alpine & thebitman, thank you both for the useful info. I'm gonna check the comparison link out.
@ Bit wish, "I like your reply system" <- Sarcasm? I try ro be as clear with these posts as I can. And about the adapter, if I'm gonna get GBA SP it's pretty much "must have". Does the adapters always cost that much?
@ DKSTR, Löytyykö huuto.netistä oikeesti joskus muka 10e tollasia DMG:itä? Coloreita on aina välillä nähny tohon hintaan mut neki ollu lähes poikkeuksetta aika kämäses kunnos. Oot siis ite tilannu tollasen kortin sieltä Kitch:ltä?
@ Auxcide, Thank you! I can see the good things in SP but now that I've seen the link that had the adapter in it and the price of that piece of cord.. I think I might just go with the DMG or GBC. Originally i was asking about SP's for the info and I got the deal (Xbox -> 2pcs GBA SP's) so I was interested of having them. But if the adapter is hard to get (especially in here...) and it costs that much I have to think about other options or maybe just try to get another deal. Anyways, trying to be open minded. And info + opinions are always good!

@ Bit Wish, I think im gonna go with demo version until I get the console and flash cart. Thank you anyways!
@ Alpine, got it. Thank you for the sound quality info.
@ thebitman, i might pm you when I have time to try out the demo and I run into probs..
@ nerdsome, Thank you for the info. I finally got answers i really wanted.
Does anyone have personal experience of recording with GBA SP? I got deal today from work. I could change my old Xbox that I don't need, for 2 GBA SP's.

Re: Where should I buy flashcarts? (56 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Don't get me wrong. I'm not worrying about mods and stuff like that too much at the moment. I just wanted to ask these things before I get any console. Cause later on _if_ I want to mod it, it should be possible. And as I said, I'm an electrician. So doing that kind of easy mods like Pro Sound is "walk in the park". I think im gonna get GBC's cause I can get 2-3 of those in a price of 1 DMG and there dont seem to be big differences in sound comparing to DMG. I think im gonna get 2 because I want to have an extra if the mod fails.
@ Alpine, the Pro Sound mod doens't cost too much. So I might wanna test it out just for fun.
@ Bit Wish, I get your point. Im gonna try to get LSDj soon so I can get started. But as I said before, it's not too easy to get those Flash Cards and stuff like that in here.. So I need to wait few weeks to get even started..

Re: Where should I buy flashcarts? (56 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Unfortunately that's really not the case in here.. Well I gues I have to do a little bit more research. The prices here are pretty much like this: DMG (normally) = 40-70€ and GBC (normally) = +10-40€. So modding the DMG isn't my first option.

Re: Where should I buy flashcarts? (56 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Thank you Bit Wish. The main reason I was asking about GBC and not DMG is that GBC's are really lot easier to get and they are cheaper too. Can you find a somekind of tutorial video about "making" RCA pro-sound? One thing about modding the DMG is that I am not totally comfortable about doing it cause the price and rarity of those consoles. So the main question at the moment is that could there really be a big difference in sound with GBC and DMG?

Re: Where should I buy flashcarts? (56 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Thank you all for responses. The main problem between the consoles was that GBA SP requires that adapter.. And if I got it right, you cant charge it while you have the 3,5mm jack connected? I thought about the modding thing yesterday and it's not really a problem for me. I am an electrician anyway, so it's doable. But is that "Pro Sound" mod really worth the effort? Yesterday I watched some videos and there seemed to be a huge difference between the modded one and the original. And for the poor light, there was this light mod and it seemed to be working perfectly fine aswell. So, if I am willing to do a little bit of modding should i buy GBC instead of GBA SP? And one more thing. There's a very little discussion about GBA in these type of forums. Why's that? Does anyone one use them to make music and if not, what's the reason?

Sup guys. It's been a long time since I first read about nanoloop and few days ago I decided I could give something like that a try. I am work at the "gameshop" at the moment and today I got some info that I could get GBA SP in decent price. Somehow I found this forum and it seems to me that you guys "know your shit". So anyway, could you tell me that if there's a big difference between GBC, GBA and GBA SP. I can get all of those pretty easily but the problem in my case is that those flash cards are not too easy to get in here. I think pretty much only decent thing to do is order them from other countries.. And I think you should know that I am not interested in modding or anything like that at the moment. Just wanna try out nanoloop and/or lsdj. Thanks in advance!
