Wow, that's ridiculous.  I'll stick to all my classic consoles.  Newest system I own is a red Wii which is sitting in the box now because I only used it for Netflix but I switched to the Roku 3.  I won't get Playstation or Xbox.

.

$66 is a pretty good price honestly.  I think I saw one just sell for $90.

Alrighty. I'll be waiting.

Bumpity bump!

Truck got rear ended yesterday (insurance will resolve that) but they won't cover me and my wife's kayaks that got smashed in the bed.  Need to sell this stuff off so I can fund new kayaks and still have a nice summer vacation from school.

Every time I go to radio shack, I feel like I payed too much.

Every time anybody goes to radioshack, they always pay too much.  If I can't find something somewhere else or I don't want to wait to order it, then I go to Radioshack unfortunately.

To answer your prosound/speaker question: Install your prosound prepot.  It won't disable the speaker when you plug into the jack but you can turn the volume all the way down (essentially disabling the speaker) and it won't affect the prosound jack volume.

Also, I use 1/8" jacks just because they take up less space in a DMG and there are 1/8" to 1/4" adapters readily available.  So it's entirely a preference thing.

Yea, I was going to email him directly but I figured I'd get faster help on here.  But hopefully he'll chime in with a response.

I am trying to install a ASM Prosound PCB but I am only getting left audio.  I desoldered my points and reattached and still the same.  Switched the wire entirely but still the same.  Desoldered and hooked up to a different back PCB but still same problem.  Desoldered the stock DMG jack and put on a different one bust still same problem.  Could this problem be the ASM Prosound PCB itself or what?  I don't want to scrap it 'cause it cost $15+.  Anyone else experience this problem?

Still, a small simple kit would be nice.
Maybe one you can build in to a gameboy, using its power, making it an active mixer that gives you an extra line-in on your gameboy.

I used to think it would be cool to have one of those little C-Moy amps built into a DMG and have it run off the DMG power.  But I never researched that anymore than the thought.

Might just put together something with 1k resistors and call it a day.

Why don't you build that little mint tin mixer that Alley Beach built?  Looks like it will do the job just find.

I was thinking about it actually. I'm sure I could design something useful!

Totally do it mate!  Make it pocket sized and I will buy it as a kit or complete.

Well, spend all day working on a schematic.

I don't know anything about designing electronics.  I can build things all day if I had a schematic but I can't design the schematic.  If someone designs it, I'd be down to assemble them for people.

I think one of these chipshops (thursdaycustoms, kitsch-bent?) should design one of these and sell it as a kit or complete.  There seems to be interest in them.  I'd definitely buy one.

I also found the NES game 1942 on the sidewalk one time. Also, just this year I found a pokemon diamond or crystal or whatever on the side of the street near my house. LOL DOn't know if it works, though, cuz I don't have a DS.

When I was like 9 I found 1942 for NES at a payphone.  I think it was like 1992.  Haha.

Another update today...  Found a bunch of buttons while digging through stuff.

A friend of mine drew me up some schematics for this exact thing once that would fit in a small project box.  Literally was going to be a mini passive DJ mixer.  Was going to have two volume pots and a crossfader.  I lost the schematics right after ordering the parts.  I have all the parts but never asked for another schematic.  That was 2 years ago.
