Not quite true, most "newer" 64M carts work just fine, it had to do with earlier versions of the cart not drawing power correctly. I think it may be worthwhile at some point to survey the cart revision numbers like we have the DMG CPU's to see where the discrepancies are.

"what was wrong with the DMG CPU's"?

lol not as expensive as you would think. just shopped around.

Update:

Just bought another extreme green Mgb so now have two. This one has the battery cover and looks better condition

I have an EMS cart and find there's no problem. I did get it this year so I guess that it's a new one but whats got to do with things?

I really want a matching one as I'm a picky son of a bitch

Want to fit a 3.7v lithium polymer batter and charge circuit to one of my pockets. Would this work:

I have heard that to fit li po id have to get rid of the capacitors on the rear of the board. Which?

Any help would be great?

New to the forum (specially non car related forum)

Recently bought an extreme Green Gameboy pocket however its missing the battery cover could anyone help locate one please to purchase.

I have many mgb's and two dmgs in my collection as well as a Tezuka Osamu GB light and a nes edition ags-001 sp (which I use as a Ebook reader)

I would really appreciate getting help to find a rear battery cover.

Regards
