I know in the early versions, the sample channels were just dummy channels, but I assume v1.1.1 is the latest now? It says 3.0 has usable sample channels, but only 1.1.1 is available for download. I take it thats not meaning version 1, since you couldn't even save in that version, but in 1.1.1 you can. I am confused on what version is what! heh.

Has anyone got the samples to playback? It just seems to be outputting no sound in the sample channel. And I'm just using his provided kits for now. Maybe I'm missing a shortcut key or something? In this youtube vid, it seems like it should just play instantly as you select the samples as an instrument. But I get no sound, any suggestions??

Yo, saturn seems serious.

I too love the JV-1010, it's almost too many sounds, haha. But once you setup templates of all the banks and what not, it's not that bad to keep recalling the patches from a computer/midi etc

I went to the store that was selling the PMA-5, but instead walked away with a JV-1010.. pretty much instant satisfaction, this thing is AMAZING

pretty much the perfect size for my setup too!

I plan on writing a new album with midiNES and a Korg EX-800. The EX-800 sounds similar to the tone of the NES, but polyphonic. And it's neat that they both were released within a year of each other. smile

Since the PSS-680 is multitimbral, I wrote all the songs in real time via midi. Then, I recorded each midi channel separately and mixed them afterwards. The only thing I added was reverb in some places, and EQ. Technically, I did play all the parts "live" when recording the midi data (being the usual method where I make a part then jam over it and keep the parts I like, and so on and so on.)

Glad you dig the tracks!!! It was fun to make an album using only that keyboard. smile

Can we nerd out for a second and talk about how you made this? Sequencer? Played live? Both? Etc.

It only matters to me cuz I get off on that stuff. Regardless of how it was made, this ish is da bomb.
