can't agree more with that
but I have to say that i really dig the style he's going with now
I like it, I really do. But I just wish he'd do a bit more chippy stuff sometimes. When I saw he had two new albums out, I listened to Blood Eagle first and I thought, ok, this is the direction he's going in, it's good but it's not what I prefer really. Then I saw the Paragon album cover and I thought "a gameboy on the cover? This is going to be either pure LSDJ or at least something more akin to his chippier stuff", but I was wrong, it was another album exactly like Blood Eagle. A bit of a disappointment, despite both the albums being incredibly stellar.
But in the end, you can't really argue with albums that include the tracks Believe In Me, Flux and The Ghost That Haunts Us Both.

I released my first chiptune album this year, so naturally that's my favourite. Selfish vain bastard that I am.
Sabrepulse had two new albums out this year that were both equally amazing and disappointing at the same time.
YMCK - Family Dancing & She - Chiptune Memories were also both amazing.

SOLD!
It has recently come to my attention that I have nearly £300 less than I thought I had, so things must be sold immediately.
Starting with a Nanoloop 2.7 cart.
Basically good as new condition. Hardly used. Bought directly from Oliver back in July.
Don't have a GBA anymore so it doesn't make sense to keep it.
Shall we say £30 delivered in the UK? & £30 + delivery for anywhere else?

Sabrepulse.
First chiptune artist I ever heard. Still the best. Genius of the highest order.

Re: How to export on KORG-DSN12? (2 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I don't think you can.
M01D has a midi export option on the main menu. But I don't think DSN12 can export anything.
Recording from the headphone jack might be your only option.

It's a good start! It really needs to build to something, though. When a 2 minute track feels like a 4 minute track there needs to be some more changeups. Think about fills you can use and expanding your melody into something refreshing that makes the build to it really satisfying. Hope this helps!
I hadn't really noticed but upon listening to it again, you're right, it does feel much longer than it actually is.
Thank you!
I thought the opening was a bit heavy handed, but I like the groove starting at about 0:30. Reminds me of some early Bit Shifter. The L and C commands you're using give the melody some good variety. I would definitely add a contrasting section; maybe expand on what you have at 1:20 using a different lead instrument?
Also, am I hearing correctly that you're not using the WAV channel? If so, I would think about moving the kicks to the WAV channel and using one of the pulse channels for some chords/arpeggios/counter-melodies/etc. to thicken the texture.
Good luck finishing!
So more variety and more instruments! I'm on it!
You are correct. There is very little going on in the WAV channel in this track. I'll try moving the kicks over. I so rarely use the wav channel for kicks.
Thank you!

While I completely failed to apply for any jobs today, I did succeed in making a song.
I'm pretty happy with it. End is a bit sudden, might need changing.
