weird, i usually have my PU's at AX. Never had a problem with the WAV channel. i guess cause i just use it for triangle bass, kicks, and snares instead of all that mrow mrow stuff

weird, i don't remember sending anything to OCR

i can't even fuck around with session view, it's all about arrangement and automation.

also here's what i learned about ableton yesterday that's probably obvious to everyone but just in case you're dense like me

the Freeze Track function isn't just there to keep you from fucking something up once you have it exactly the way you want it, like i had assumed. it pre-renders a channel to lighten the load on your CPU. this is really useful if you use a lot of vsts, or if you use oZone on more than half of your tracks like i do. I cut my CPU % in half with this, BUT the song folder i'm working with is 600mb now haha.

also: here's something i'm working on putting recordings from LSDJ + Mod2PSG in Ableton.

here's what i do

paste a blank row at the top of the song. create a chain with a single phrase, with a short sound at the beginning. This is going to be your recording marker. Put it at the beginning of the pulse channel. Since there's nothing starting the other three channels, the cpu will focus only on the pulse channel (if you solo it out, everything else is still happening, but at 0 volume), and you'll have much less tempo drift.

record each channel like that, then run each channel in ableton with it's own copy of oZone's iZotope. then eq and master that shit!

this last part can work on any sequencer with VST support, but you can also do it your own way in what ever program you're most comfortable with

if you don't write music for people who are into chip, you shouldn't be surprised with the negativity you get posting a promo video on a forum for people who are into chip. you said yourself we aren't the target audience, but you still wanted our input. you got it.

I'm really attached with the OpenSource "way of life" (don't know it it's the good expression). FAT is and will be OS and free as in beer smile

are you saying the normal save doesn't work with FAT on a supercard? or did you only try the save state one?

the one that's labeled "Normal Save" when you do the command updates the save file on the SC to match the save file in-rom.

although if you tried that, it might just be a problem between HAM and the SC.

have you tried to replacing the .sav file on the cart with a renamed .sav file from another game? sometimes that solves the problem the super card sometimes has with homebrew GBA programs.

SupercardSD seems to have some saving issues

you have to physically tell the supercard to record the save, after doing it in-ROM. it's either L+R+Select+A or L+R+Select+B. one is 'normal save' and the other is a freeze state.
