Ah damn, even though it's the same state, Mattews/Belmont is about 2 hours and 40 minutes away from me haha. I mean I think it's still possible to get a gig going, probably some place like Greensboro or other venues.

I'm looking to team up, meet, get together with other chiptune artists in my area. It would be really cool to start a getting some concerts going at the Lincoln, The Cave, etc.

looks like I'm not the first person to have issues with this. If you have your own method please list it below or link to older post of these methods. I did find this one online, http://mikejmoffitt.com/wp/?p=12

8) Here is the obnoxious part. There are a lot of ways to do this, but I’ll describe what worked for me once. Take a piece of paper towel the size of the LCD, and dampen (but not soak!) it, and place it onto the white backing of the LCD. Let it sit under mild pressure for 10 minutes or so.

9) After it’s soaked, CAREFULLY peel off the white layer. If any adhesive remains after you are done, use an old credit card and some 3M Adhesive Remover (or saliva, both work) to remove it with light rubbing motions. AVOID DAMAGING THE CABLES. Now, put the LCD back.

I've gone mad with my lack of ability to remove all the adhesives leftover on my pockets LCD. I've actually broken two pocket LCDs because of it. My last attempt has ended with this ugly screen:

The issue is the ribbon is too tight to put my finger under easily and I've tried the old goo-gone and q-tip trick but that doesn't seem to do anything. I also have marking lines that show were i stopped peeling to get a better grasp on the film. Is there a better/cleaner way to remove the film that is required to backlight mod?

Cheers.

Will you ship to united states? These look awesome. I'd pay 25$ including shipping.

I'm interested in buying bulk (5-20) WORKING Gameboy Pocket LCDs. Maybe someone has a few laying around or there's a site that has them for sale. Please respond here first with your count and then I'll PM you about a price.

Thanks!

Oh mario paint. haha I remember when the first DS came out, I had a cart that let homebrews only run on it. There was one homebrew that was exactly this, maybe that was my first taste of chip music.

anything that runs on OSX?

That's true, and if i find one of the cheap i'll be sure to get em. I also figured if the buttons were found, and they sold for like.. 50 cents each, it would be cheaper to buy bulk (10-20).

I have a broken GBA AGB-001 that needs it's shoulder buttons replaced. I'm talking about the actual switch buttons the L and R pieces touch on the circuit board. I bought what I though was the closes resemblance of them and re-soldered them to the board but the button housing and the button's mechanical trigger switch do not line up. The housing is too big to fit in a case and the switch isn't long enough for the L and R pads to touch it. Here's what i've done so far.

So It's looking the easiest solution to fixing this to find the exact buttons that the AGB-001 used. Does anyone know what that would be?

Cheers.
