I didn't, as they weren't written yet. I can send you the files and you can flash them once you have your MIDI adapter.

I've been posting clips of my work to Instagram over the last few days, check it out Frank. https://www.instagram.com/nonfinite/

Hey everybody, I want to let you know that we have nanoloop mono cartridges in stock at Nonfinite Electronics.

http://nonelectronics.com/nanomono

I'm including 3 tracks I have written in mono, pre-loaded onto the cart. Think of it as an unofficial Nonfinite EP pre-release of sorts.

I have enabled weight-based shipping and set mono carts, along with 4 LED backlight and LSDJ sticker sets down to a very small weight, which should allow international customers to order ultra-lightweight shipping at a discounted cost. The limit for this shipping method will be about 2 items per, after that weight restrictions will be exceeded and ordinary shipping rates will apply.

I have also removed the $50 and over free domestic shipping and replaced it with free worldwide shipping at $150 or over, so we have some new international shipping solutions to balance out the domestic shipping rates we have which are already pretty great and inexpensive.

Thanks!

-Nonfinite

Thanks Didrik, I wasn't aware I could modify the thread title myself! I have done that now.

If someone wants to make that new thread for vendors please feel free.

I guess I understand why there's so much hate floating around here. Really the only ones that have actually gained anything from this in the short term are the vendors: those who had domains purchased and those who didn't both. Most of them have thanked me privately, expressed an interest in following the thread further in relative silence, and continuing on with their businesses.

The rest of the people reading this don't really have a stake in the outcome, and as a result consider it detrimental to the community.

I say shining a light on the truth is never detrimental. All the same, I get it.

I'm going to sign off the thread at this point. I've done my due diligence. If you want to stick your heads in the sand, you're free to do so. If you genuinely don't care if you do business with ethical people, that's your right and privilege. If you DO care, now you have the information you need to act on that desire.

Can I just say it's strange how much people who don't care about a particular topic want to tell you they don't care about a particular topic here?

Having 8bc pointing where it is is really, really incriminating. The 8bitcollective.com domain is FAR too valuable for any other party to have done that, and the other redirects, but Matt himself as far as I can figure.

the domain squatting bandit appears to still be at large and is also in possession of http://8bitcollective.com

thank you to nonfinite for raising awareness about this important issue. i hope we can solve this mystery soon and reveal who has been plotting this malicious attack against kitsch.

OK, now THAT is an interesting development!  I personally bid on 8bitcollective when it went up for auction several months ago. From my memory I reached close to $1,000.00 when I stopped bidding on it and watched it until it hit $1,500.00.

I had been hoping to revive the forum, weekly top ten list and all.

Anyways, the fact that it sold for what it did is pretty clear proof this was not done by an SEO company.

It also disproves the fanboy theory. No fan is going to spend over 1K to buy a domain and point it to kitsch-bent.com

Also, note that whois shows 8bitcollective.com was purchased two days before all of the others. October 26th, 2015 using the same exact services and options (including obscuration of registrar details) as the other domains.

It now makes sense why all of these domains were purchased on GoDaddy. It's because the auction was specifically hosted there two days prior.

Sorry, Peter. You're a good guy.

------------------

As of this morning I've heard back from everybody on the list but Shaun from gameboymods.co.uk. 10+ domains have been successfully secured. Despite the less than desirable nature of this conversation I can say with confidence that good things have come of this.

If anyone else knows of other businesses operating in the field of chipmusic that haven't been brought up here, please either post a link here or send a pm so I can reach out to them as well. Thanks everybody!

this probably should have been handled in private

I agree, and yes, we tried that. After 72 hours, three emails and numerous attempts to draw attention to the topic at hand through facebook I felt it was an appropriate time to bring this out into the public through the use of a relevant forum. I daresay if I hadn't these redirects would still be in place.

OK, got retroconsole. All that's left is bennvenn.

I was able to find contact info for all of these vendors but the last two, http://www.retroconsole.fr/
and http://bennvenn.myshopify.com/.

Does anyone have contact info for these two vendors?

Peter, I'm saying this with the utmost respect I can manage, as you are a well respected artist and by all means, you know your shit: you are the primary source of insincerity and lack of respect in this thread. Perhaps you should consider how your words and actions reflect on the chip community as well.

I feel ashamed for allowing you to distract me from the topic at hand.

It's nothing to you, friend. To me, it's a living.

Are you a mod or an admin here at chipmusic.org, Peter? For someone who doesn't care about the content of the thread you appear to be spending a lot of time here. Are you trolling or doing your job?
