This release isn't full chip, but even the FL studio songs have Chiptune vibes. Feel free to criticize!

Re: Live Mode: Is it a must for live shows? Is song mode cheating? (63 replies, posted in General Discussion)
Why does it matter? I feel like live mode is an alternative to really have fun with your songs, but it has a lot of room for error. I think if the artist wants to, they can, but no one should be called a "fraud" for not wanting to use it.
I personally would play most of my songs on song mode, with a few live mixes here and there, if I feel like it. That kind of thing takes practice, and a bit of skill, and honestly it's a bit of a hassle.

Re: Converting inspiration and feelings into songs (21 replies, posted in General Discussion)
1. I get most of my inspiration from listening to my favorite artists, or events that happen in my life. Melodies and basslines just kind of come to me throught the day, and the they usually reflect my mood. So in a way, the roots of my music are generated by my subconcious...
2. Very much so. My mood tends to fluctuate over time as new things happen in my life, and it is pretty clearly reflected in my music. When I'm happy I write upbeat music, when I'm angry or stressed I make dubstep / glitch, and so on.
If I can give you any advice on starting a Chiptune career, I would say start off by mimicing your favorite artists. Not to the point where you no longer have your own style, but try to learn from their music, and grow from it. If they have released any of their LSDJ/ Nanoloop/ Whatever savs, download them and pick them apart to learn how they write music from the inside out, that's how I gained a lot of my skill, and you can really learn a lot about how YOU write music and what direction you want go in this way.

Re: Help with removing high frequency noise (10 replies, posted in Audio Production)
Thanks guys! I did a couple more noise removal passes and tinkered with the EQ a little bit more, and found that the noise had become much lighter and less noticable (it's not gone, but honestly it adds to the feel of the song anyway).

Yea, I suppose it isn't a big deal. I tend to worry way too much about small errors in my music :I

Topic: Help with removing high frequency noise (10 replies, posted in Audio Production)
Hi everyone, I finished recording and mastering a song when I noticed a quiet kind of high frequency noise in the background. I've tried getting rid of it every way I can, but it still persists. I doesn't RUIN the song, but it becomes kind of distracting after a while, and takes away quite a bit from the track, so I was wondering, does anyone know how to take care of this noise?
Heres a link to the track: https://soundcloud.com/super-prism/small-ep-teaser
It's just a snippet, but you can clearly hear the noise fade in in the beginning.
For reference, I have tried all kinds of noise removal, and I have tried to EQ the high frequencies down a bit... but it just created other problems.
Any help would be greatly appriciated, thank you guys so much.

Topic: Game Boy screen repair help (1 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I recently bought a modified DMG Gameboy off of ebay, and was disappointed to find that the display had a few vertical lines present on the rightmost side of the screen. I could live with that, but once the game actually started up, the display turned completely white with a few horizontal and vertical lines showing. Upon messing with the contrast slider, the display began to flicker and several more horizontal and vertical columns appeared.
The game was absolutely unplayable like this, so I thought I would ask you guys for some help. Are there any services that do Gameboy screen repairs? Are there any ways that I could fix this myself? Any help is greatly appreciated.
