Now you can even start to tweak it if you're a Soldering master smile

I love my Monotron so, so much.
As an oscillator, it isn't amazing (though it is fun), however the filter is great. Atari Punk Console through it = <333

Im getting this for Christmas so i can use it for song brain storming. If you plug a mic into it can it be used as a vocoder, do you know?

You have an input but it's only for going thru the filter which i a basic Low Pass analogue one so no Vocoding.

This little guy would be cool to hold with two hands and play with your thumbs, like an electronic kalimba! Aahhh... now I know what to ask for, for x-mas.....

I got one of these earlier this year. Its really fun at first, fiddling around with the filters through the gameboy, or just making strange noises with it. I don't really need it any more. Just as a practice amp for my guitar.

this guys is fun but truthfully it isnt amazing. the filter is nice but the output is noisy as hell. too much fuzz for recording. Its a cool little toy and or live effects device for when sound quality isnt an issue. there really is a lot of unwanted humming and buzzing.

It muist be "unit related" and also can depend of the age of the batteries.. I've used it recently as an ASIO insert FX in Live without too much noise to deal with.  However ic uld be quite receptive to paraiste external electromagnetic fields/

yeah it could be just my unit. it has new batteries and everything and most of the time i use it away from any intense electronics. even with out the headphones pluged in the fuzzzz can be heard through the speaker.

There's a little bit of fuzz with mine, but not so much that it's a huge limit. Far less than out of a DMG.
I keep finding new and awesome ways to use my Monotron - my VL-Tone through it is amazing.
Love it so much.

I'm running Atary Sync buzz sound in it as well  as Ableton Live drum Tracks... and my girlfriend just loves doing Lfo/Filter sweeps on it smile

I bought two of these thinking it'd be awesome to run my game boys through them, and it is, only problem is they can't take a particularly hot signal. The headphone output is usually ok but the pro sound outputs are way too loud, distorts like crazy, which is a shame. Also the output is always mono unsurprisingly, even if you put a stereo source through it. Besides that they're pretty good fun.
