Albino Ghost Monkey

What is an Albino Ghost Monkey you ask? The Albino Ghost Monkey is a strange and unique creature that can only be found in the Northwoods region of Wisconsin. The Albino Ghost Monkey spends most of its time using a tool known as "Nanoloop", though nanoloop is not a good tool for hunting (reassuring its short lifespan), it is on the other hand a great tool for creating music. So with spring upon us, the Albino Ghost Monkey comes out of hibernation to share the splendor of his nanoloop endeavours. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Albino-Gh … 2222970422

Balún

Brought together by their love of simple melodies, 16mm films, cartoon doodles, classical and folk instruments, and experimental pop music, Balún was formed in 2002 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2006 the band released their first album “Something Comes Our Way  (Brilliante Records) after years of self-releasing CD-Rs and MP3-EPs on different labels. The band’s first album received critical acclaim from various media outlets such as Allmusic.com, Textura, The Big Take Over, The Tripwire, and Flavorpill. Since then, the group has released new songs and remixes on different compilations appearing with artists from all over the world such as B. Fleischmann, Lullatone, Fax, Montag, I Am Robot and Proud, among others. The band moved to the United States in 2006 and has performed on venues around the country and festivals/parties such as Decibel Fest, Pop Montreal, 8STATIC and FMEL 2009. They have also collaborated with illustrator Tatiana Arocha on a short film for the DVD series PSST! and with Puerto Rican experimental theater company Y No Había Luz. Their new mini-album Memoria Textil was released in February 2010 as a free digital download and the group is currently working on their 2nd full length which will be released by the Brazilian collective Si No Puedo Bailar. http://www.myspace.com/balun

8bit bEtty

8bit bEtty is back! You might have seen him playing a Pulsewave in 2008, or even at a Long Island backyard on a hot Summer day - wherever it was, you know you didn't stop dancing. 8bit bEtty is Bryan Teoh, a composer, instrumentalist, sound designer, and new media artist. With a conservatory background in classical and jazz performance/composition, Bryan has worked in several professional musical and new media environments. Instrumental performances often employ his 17 years of training on guitar as well as his unique approach to live use of the laptop. Bryan uses max/msp to create the software for his electronic and electro-acoustic work, and in recent years has fostered an interest in software design for video processing and performance via jitter. Bryan currently resides in Brooklyn NY where he continues to freelance for various projects and pursue personal ventures in new media. http://www.8bitbetty.com/

So, I had a dream about pulsewave, kind of, so i thought this would be a good place to tell you all about it.

It started with me and my girlfriend driving to Manhattan. Once we get there, instead of going to where the tank actually is, for some reason dream-pulsewave is in Queens. So, we leave the car and get on the bus to go to queens. On the bus we find Facundo. Facundo tells us that the bus doesn't actually stop in queens, so what we need to do, is pretend to be sick and ask the bus-driver to stop. So we do, all three of us pretending to be sick so that the bus-driver stops. So the bus-driver stops, and we get off, and pretend to throw up, and the bus just drives away. Now, this dream-Queens, is nothing like real Queens, it's more like... mississippi, and not any cities either. It's on a dirt/gravel road, and the only building around is the venue, which is certainly not the Tank (i forget what the name of the dream venue is). So we three go inside, and there are a few people there still setting up, one of them is Minusbaby. Minusbaby was very happy to see my girlfriend and barely acknowledged me (this made me sad). At this point I realize that I have left my bag, and therefore my wallet back in Manhattan, so I shout "Does anyone have $20 I can borrow!?" So minusbaby says he has money that i could borrow, but it's out in his car, so he just hand me his keys and says it's in the lot across the street. I go out to the parking lot and there are a few cars there and I don't know which is his so I just hit the unlock button, and this new-ish mercedes-benz (which was hidden behind a tow-truck) unlocks, i was surprised, but hey, it's minusbaby, who says he can't have a benz. so I go into the car to grab a $20 bill, and the money he was talking about is just stuffed inside the door pockets. While i'm in the car I notice it is slowly rolling backwards. I try to jam on the brakes, and nothing happens. A few people are standing around trying to figure out what to do, because all of the cars in the lot were rolling backwards. So I got out of the car and just left because I decided that the cars rolling backwards wasn't really worth caring about. So I go back into the venue and I find minusbaby and I say I got the money, and what should I do with it? He says oh no, don't give it to me, but he holds out this piece of cardboard with a slit in it and just says "here." I didn't really know what to do so I took the cardboard thing and put both it and the money on the table on-stage. Oh, so this "venue," while it is apparently where pulsewave takes place it's also somewhere where a few people live. So i go over to one side of the stage to wait for the show to start, when a few people dressed as super-heroes (vaguely reminiscent of peelander z) come down the stairs, and they start complaining to the mistress of the house (because this weird dream-venue has a mistress) about some kind of mess that was made.

That's about where the dream ends, the show never started, so i never got to see albino ghost monkey (balun wasn't there for some reason).

Hope you all have appreciated this.
