Just wondering, what are some chip releases that you feel didn't quite get the love they deserve? It'd be nice to spread the love a little and hopefully we can all find some good music in the process. I'll start:

Jophish - Distance
This was released on pause and all, but other than that I haven't seen much buzz about it. Every track on here is fucking gorgeous, and as a whole it's an absolutely stunning release.

[]ype - Aboard
I believe this got maybe a decent amount of exposure outside the chipmusic scene, but I haven't seen much fuss about it over here. Super crazy midines work.

Teen Arts - I Had a Very Important Meeting This Morning and I Don't Have a Crying Problem
I don't think this was ever even posted on this site, and it looks like only 4 people bought it. This is some super well-done punk-rock material.

i love []ype - Aboard, a really great release. http://www.kittenrock.co.uk/releases/kr … -_live.zip is by the same guy, its a pretty different sound though, more x¦k sounding.

Flashbob is really great i think, wonky electronica i suppose

can we talk about overrated releases? it might make a funnier thread,

Dude, that debut from Jophish is pretty great. Solid tunes with nice melodies. He must be 4mat's padawan learner.

Chipzel - Disconnected

This has to be one of my favorite chip albums ever. Very cool, conceptual GameBoy music. Sweet work.

Baifan - Natural High

Fantastic EP with stellar songwriting and production. The BandCamp page only lets you stream one track, but you can find some others on Baifan's SoundCloud.

Not really chipmusic, more ambient synth music.

Manuel Clement - All life is one.

A beautiful record, eerie but calm, definate 80's vibe going on in a cinematic kind of way....... recorded with no midi i believe.... just live synths, and there's some casio sk1 tracks on there.......

I only found this from the sk1 tunes he had on 8bc years ago......i've been playing it frequently for 3 years now i guess. check it out.

ps - dont be alarmed by the first track thats an electro jam.....although its a nice tune its very different to the rest of the record....shit now im listening to this again.....i feel like punching myself in the balls for being a fool and not listening to it for a few months haha

all the recent little-scale eps are phenomenal, yet people are SLEEPING ON THEM. funny how someone can be so influential, yet also underrated

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they might not be prominent here because most of them aren't chipmusic.

Although I do agree that more people should listen to them.

I usually don't care, but this one was so slept-on for such a great collection of work & source files that it wasn't even funny.
