Im looking to make a mix of songs for a secret project, this will be included in an hour of tracks alongside my own.

I need people who are willing to let me remix their songs or who can make something to contribute towards this.

All credit will be given where necessary, and this will be a free mix which I will be promoting across various blogs and news sites, it may even get you a fair bit of recognition with the outside dance scene.

The theme is french filter house, but with a chip influence and aesthetic.
I'm looking for anything to use, from 80s style synthpop to funk or disco.
Original songs are also welcome.

There's some good material to look at.

i never really understood how adding a kick/high hat drum pattern to an old disco song was that great. moom

I've got a couple of disco things that might work though on this release:

Hey CMDR, my first two tracks on this page are based on newer filter / electro house:

Not sure if they are exactly what you are looking for but if you like them I can send them to you in full quality.

Well, no contributions so far, or even anything that i hold close to the style, not that anything exists (i think). Anyway, im restarting my project after college is finished in a week's time.

Please excuse my ignorance,
What's the difference between "filter house" and " disco house"
It sounds like the disco house i used to listen to back in 98-02
I dont mean that in an insulting tone, simply trying to figure out the difference.

Not much. french touch, filter house, french house and new disco, disco house can literally mean the same thing, it depends where you are from and how it was promoted in your country.

Anyone remember 8bit, chiptune and chipmusic?

Oh wait, those made up terms?

They all are big_smile And not genres IMO wink

Sometimes there's a genre too much. You can tell, when people don't notice the difference between them wink

I'm just saying how they are terms different countries use for it, much like Ill never call chipmusic 8bit because it simply makes no sense whatsoever.
