Hi there,
Im experimenting with making samples/kits for LSDJ. I have completed one which is of vocals and it has turned out reasonably well. Im using Soundforge. I was wondering if putting the samples through a compressor would improve further?

Does anyone have experience putting the samples through a compressor?

ideally, you should use a compressor to remove as much dynamic range as you can. That way when it converts it to the lower bitrate, there will be less aliasing noise. This guide is a good one:
