The old Commodore music cartridges are incredibly simplistic, not really useful for writing modern chipmusic on.  These are the kind of sounds you can get out of it::

Though for 1982 that's not bad really.

Ive played the cassette version and its not so bad. very basic. dont pay more than a few quid / dollars for it though.....

so no sequencing?

if there was any sequencing, it was useless... much more useful just playing notes live on the keyboard (or musical overlay keyboard if you have one). still, cynthcart would be much much better (though ive never used it- im using mssiah primarily)

i have mssiah but the reason i was looking into music machine is because it seemed like a cool little piano so i guess ill just go for cynthcart by paul s.
