Yep, it's that time again; I snagged the chance to see if there is any thready here that's discussing about the E3 2014 happenings this week - and nothing yet. Well, that ends tonight.

So, here's our chance to talk about the biggest event for us videogame hobbyists. What are you folks keeping track of this year?

As for me, I'm making sure to get up on Tuesday morning (June 10th) in good energy and shape to check out the Nintendo Digital Event to see what announcements they have in store for us. Will check on some other companies as well to make my target list for the rest of this year and possibly the course of next year as well.

All right; take care, everyone! Let's get this going.

I was actually pretty disappointed when Last Guardian was a no-show again.

On the plus side, that new game from the LIMBO devs looks awesome.

I've been avoiding E3 so I can hear how disappointing everyone was with X thing, without having to spend hours watching it myself

All I know is that right now, I'm keeping tabs on the following upcoming installments:

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
Mario vs. Donkey Kong (Wii U)
Mario Maker

Oh, and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U literally has raised enthusiasm points here. I have a feeling it's because of that Palutena announcement trailer.

yet again no games for BBC MASTER or DOS were announced
sh(t gaming industry cant get anything right

new zelda looks like skyrim dlc
microostf announce some games where you shot people with gun
nintendos announce some remakes of old stuff and some games where you shot people with gun or something
sony have some shotting games too
assasins creed new game w/ no gameplay or inetresting characters
grand theft auto ported to pc so you can shot innocent people with gun on higher graphics settings
something about mirrors edge
halo 1 2 3 4 so you can relive the glory days of shotting people with guns
think theres also some racing car simulator games
tomb raider where youcan shot animals with gun... Maybe now ic an blast a tiger in the face with a shotgun in high definition

and nintendo make this cute squids game thats like left for dead meets plants versus zombies and probably plays like an iphone game

None of these games are good
2012s is the decade gaming died imn my humble opinion

however there might be some good games. just not hyped up ones from e3. imho

The games industry is a rushed, high-pressure environment as it is - if they had to worry about compatibility with your antiquated, room-filling computer hardware they'd never get anything done. Read Atlas Shrugged.

Games are booming bigger than ever and there are some, like me, who enjoy the current era more than ever. Damn, do you even get to have an opinion on this, if the last game you played was Chuckie Egg? I mean damn.

Skyrim is up there with the most critically acclaimed games of all time, broheim. You might as well get used to every franchise borrowing defining features from the best of the previous generation. It's all for the good, opening the door to true transhumanism.

sandneil wrote:

Is this some sort of ignorant joke? Shooting people with a gun is the backbone of gaming, one of its most enduring concepts and one that strikes true a chord with the majority of gamers. Sorry Watch Dogs doesn't let you groom a fucking horse

sandneil wrote:

Refinements, not remakes. One of the best ways to really *grok* the path to success is to remake it - especially if the brick textured are normal-mapped and four times their predecessor's resolution, ha ha! idiot

sandneil wrote:

Didn't you even read what I said?

sandneil wrote:

Assassin's Creed, I think you'll find, has a rich and singularly well-researched plot which combines myth, history, conspiracy theory and the doomsday scenario of many cultures into a game which is impossible to lose or do well in - extra lives have long since been considered obsolete, you know. This is progress. Indeed It contains, on sufficiently close examination, Every Character Who Ever Lived. so I don't know from whose ass you pulled this singualarly inept criticism from.

sandneil wrote:

Still bitter that GTA3 doesn't boot on your BBC Micro Master? Wise up doofus

sandneil wrote:

They're reasserting their brand. You would too, in their situation.

sandneil wrote:

No there aren't. Or at least, there are no racing car simulator games (what a stupid phrase, by the way) which will still be on the critic's radar come their Best of 2014 lists. Racing stuff isn't sustainable gaming - it's fluff for beachside arcades. No more.

sandneil wrote:

Wow, you're such a liberal that you wouldn't even defend yourself against a tiger even though you were a helpless woman IN A TOTALLY IMAGINARY SITUATION. Just so you know, sweetums, my vote cancels out yours.

sandneil wrote:

First smart thing you've said.

There was tons of ignorance in the remainder of your post but I choose not to repeat it in case any of these other drones JUST LIKE YOU start believing it through sheer impressionability. In closing, go back to your facebook games, fucking socialist.

D D D Detroit, not the burbs

I can kind-of agree with the sentiment that he's not really stoked for this years E3, the last few years i've really been noticing myself not giving as many shits as I used to.  Its just harder to find games that fit my niche interests.
