It's funny because by the time you figure out how much your effort/time is worth modding a GB with a backlight and additional audio jack (say maybe an hour or two?) plus parts I think $105 is about right but I would personally never pay that much. I too am interested to see if others consider this good value.

Time is money. You won't see me hassling them about that price, but you also won't see me paying it, because I can do most of that work myself.
Ironically, that is exactly why I feel their price is valid.
