i was wondering if such a thing exists? i though it would be cool to be able to use the NES as a drum machine. yea i know, i COULD get one of those nes controller to usb things and get a program to do it. but that's not what i'm looking for. i want to be able to run this from my powerpak and make some hot beats on my NES.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, so I'll link to a few drum machine-like programs.

Make drum beats in ntrq or Famicom Music Sequencer?

WOW MAN!

Yes, I highly recommend NTRQ or wait (a little while) for it's hyper-active brother, Pulsar.

I think what you're looking for might be the Lickshot, but I can't be sure.

you could use the gameboy camera?

you could just program beats in famitracker then play them back.. unless you want LIVE beats.

I'm assuming you want a pounder-like program for the NES and the closest thing would be Lickshot.  Any chance you could explain your needs furthur?

ok my bad i should have been more specific - i don't want to program drum loops, i can already do that with ntrq/fami etc. i mean i want to be able to use the controller to play beats. like program A to be a kick drum, B to be a snare drum etc, so i can use it as a drum machine in that respect. that lick shot might do what i want it do i'll check that out.

upon further review - lickshot is EXACTLY what i was looking for. thanks d00ds, and nocarrier for making such a simple yet excellent program! works great with an advantage ^_^
