The gameboy camera rom didn't work for me, I just transfer the sav RAM from camera to EMS with the Mega Memory Card, as Sliph Scope said.

Also here is a useful link if you want to make a gif animation with your sav

I think the ROM  for the game boy camera itself doesn't work unless the camera part of the original cartridge is present.  I remember hearing this back when people wanted to use that ROM for Trippy H on flashcarts.

Hello.
1. You have to have PC with parallel port
2.  GB Printer emulation software currently only works under DOS
do you have PC with parallel port running DOS?

I'm using gb transferer II

I've found methods to emulate the Printer and print them directly to the PC, but I don't know how to interpret the instructions needed to build a transfer cable--I've never done any circuit-bending or anything before.

You can also try copying the sram from a gameboy camera to a usb gb cart with mega memory card and then copying that to a pc?

There are a bunch of sav reading tools that can export as gifs.

I was able to use my transferer to pull the .sav file from my GB Camera cartridge and then extract the images with the tool posted earlier in this thread a while back. It worked without any issues for me.

thanks guys!
I was wondering if just using a gamelink cable and ems cart would be enough, I guess I'll have to get a mega memory cart.

If anyone is interested in seeing how a save dumper works (or dumping natively on OS X/Linux), I just finished a Game Boy Camera image dumper, written in Python: http://lickitung.it.cx/exe/camera_save.py
Also: An EMS 64M cart reader/flasher for OS X 10.4/10.5 (PPC): http://lickitung.it.cx/exe/ems-flasher

I never thought I'd be able to do these things on my old PPC Mac, but here's the software big_smile
The GBCamera > Mega Memory Card > EMS 64M > Computer > Image dumper route has never failed me yet.

excelangue, would you mind if i linked to your software on the 64M cart's product page on the KB site?  it'd help out a lot of customers I believe.

Sorry for commenting on this old thread. I just wanted to know if up to now it is possible or not to load the GB camera ROM on an EMS 64M cartridge and transfer the photos from a GB with the GBC to there.

the camera ROM, last time i checked, doesn't run correctly.  most likely because the lack of the correct hardware.  on a 64M cart at least.

And now we're asking: Has any other similar method to Mega Memory cartridge appeared? These seem difficult and expensive to find : (
