...is inexplicably done in a chip music style.

I've got my PVR recording now on the channel that I heard it on, but if someone finds a clip online feel free to post it.

Found it:

Not very interesting, but I thought it was weird.

Erm...maybe...

The bassline doesn't sound like something that could come from a calliope to me.  I'm certainly not an expert on steam instruments, though.

This has been out for months. I like it. It's better than someone singing to me and I like the bassline. I think they only use it in their commercials targeted towards younger audiences (20-30).

And at best it's an emulation of a calliope, but I don't really think they tried to do that.

Yeah they are targeting the gaming generation... people who are mid 20s now (like myself) would have been in their formative years when NES / Gameboy came out. That's also the average age of the characters in the commercials.

Don't fall for it, it's just marketing. smile

The acting in this is just top notch! Academy awards all around!

I want to play State Farm: the game.

Really though, name me one commercial that is less annoying than this one. I've had pretty good experiences with State Farm though, so I'm biased.
