Has anyone done this? Put an EMS 64 in a normal GB cart? My cart is all warped, so I have to jiggle it to get the contacts to touch. Sucks.

people have done this.. The thing is, you have to replace some components to make it fit in an old cart, that's why the EMS cart has a higher shell sticking out of the gameboy.

I'm trying to find some sort of tutorial, but everything redirects to 8bc big_smile

basically what you need to do is relocate that round thingy component (can't think of the name atm...) at the top to the bottom of the cart with some wire..

here's a blog article on the bleepbloop cart that links to 8bc, in case it ever gets back online....

Thanks guys. Yeah it seems there are two components that stick way up, the battery thing, and the big capacitor. I'm pretty sure I've read about someone doing it, but not sure where it was. I'll keep poking around too.

You need to sand down some of the plastic on the oem cart to get the innards of the ems64 cart to fit.

sadly i went in rambo style with attempting this a few weeks ago. donkey kong country gbc clear case. wasn't too pretty with all the shaving away of the internal plastic, and yeah that capacitor is a bitch. The gbc cases themselves have a bunch of characteristics that make it all a pain.

So where do you get the right kind of screwdriver for the dmg style carts? What are they called?
