I have been a kind of passive fan of AHX for a while but know very little about it other than Random's awesome TCTD podcast and a couple of monotonik releases

Best Of AHX Vol.1:Dexter's Pinkboratory - http://www.mono211.com/content/releases/mtkmp96.html
AHX to Excess - http://www.mono211.com/content/releases/mtkmp107.html

I appreciate that listening on an Amiga would be the best way to go but I do most of my music listening on my MP3 player on the train. If anyone knows of any other awesome compliations AHX  or Hivelytracker (don't know if much about hively) releases in a handy portable audio format I would love to know about them. Also any other artists I should be listening to? I know about Jazzcat, Syphus, Pink and Geir Tjelta.

Thanks for the links! You've probably already seen this, but I like this Jazzcat track:

3 episodes of the Blibb Blobb podcast focus on AHX: http://blibbblobb.untergrund.net/?Blibb_Blobb

The largest collection of AHX MP3s is probably http://www.paula8364.com
Enjoy the browsing smile I really like Mortimer Twang's work in AHX...

The problem with SOASC is you can't filter by module type. Finding only the AHX stuff is daunting.
I like the Mortimer Twang stuff myself, as well.

Thanks so much, that is an awesome pool of AHX to trawl, very happy for more recommendations.

Also I think you can filter by format???

Oh yeah, and Patric Catani. He's got new AHX-stuff coming out soon, I hope. All in his characteristic psycho-style. Some stuff also @ https://8bc.org/members/toytone

Thanks for the links Lazer, great stuff there!

AHX is great. I downloaded a great pdf manual for it at 8bc.org a long time ago. Maybe it's time to put it on my a600 and start making some songs on it for a change. My only SID-sounding songs were made on mssiah/ableton.

Jesus I had no idea Patric had AHX stuff on 8BC, I think some of this was in his 2009 blip set? Its amazing.

Also I think this is the link pulselooper mentioned for the PDF Manual. Posted by Syphus on 8bc. The PDF seems laid out in a slightly odd way, be sure to check the page numbers.

Edit - Looks like the PDF was designed to be printed and folded s the pages would be back to back then the numbering would make sense.

AHX is the shit. Patric C's stuff on 8bc is incredible. If you want more atypical AHX stuff you should check out Anakirob's tracks here: http://www.trebledeathsystem.com/user/57/tracks . Really filthy bassy craziness. Also I just uploaded my first AHX track here: https://8bc.org/music/Vicious+Cyclist/Shmarg+%28AHX%29/ . I made this a while ago though and have learnt how to use it a lot better since then.

AHX needs Kickstart 3.0 to run. Unless you have it in ROM, I don't recommend going this way. I used to run it in my A600 with 2MB of RAM And softkicking it to 3.0, but this was annoying. Then I got an A1200 tongue
