The new SupaBoy portable will accept Super Nintendo cartridges for play on its built-in 3.5-inch LCD screen. The handheld will have a D-pad and gameplay buttons on its face, as well as shoulder buttons. It also has ports for full-size SNES controllers and video and audio out so you can play on a TV.

what's the general opinion on this thing?

Seeing the company name reminds me of their other FTL (failed to launch) products, which makes me think it'll be vaporware. I want to see more than a render. Also, controller port locations = icky.  But other than that I guess it's OK looking.

i was thinking it would be cool to use this with a super gameboy cartridge so that way i could do LSDJ on a portable device... wait a minute.

It would be neat to have a portable music gameboy that can also plug into a TV or projector, but this, if it existed, would have the same problem as the gameboy advance - terrible start and select button placement for LSDJ.

I'm pretty sure this exists. There's an local gaming store in my town that has one of these. It's not the same company, but that's exactly what it is. A portable SNES.
