Got a DMG off eBay... When I turn it on, before going to the 'Nintendo' screen, the screen glitches (usually alternating black and white lines) and the Gameboy makes a series of three popping noises. The start-up sound is also a bit choppy/blippy towards the end. Also, when messing with the volume I noticed that it has a few left-channel 'dead' spots when using headphones where the left side is quieter than the right.

I have seven days to return this thing... Should I? Or are these problems fixable (or in the case of the first one, negligible)?

If you spent less than $15 on it you should keep it for experiments. But if you spent a lot of money on it, return it and buy another.
