I'm planing on selling my PSP and some other stuff and getting a GP2X.  I've been looking at the Wiz... has touchscreen which is nice.  But it seems to be really small and I can't find any info on midi (I don't think it has any ports other than usb).  Has midi just not been implemented yet?

Well, that narrows it down a bit!  So F200 it is?

F100 and 200 are great.
The F200 has the advantage (in my opinion) of having a d pad for the left side instead of a joystick.

PSP is much better in terms of battery life, sleep mode, and build quality.  shame for no midi.

i thought the build quality was good on the gp2x (both versions, minus the joystick)
PSP is pretty solid though.

I'd say if Midi isn't your thing. then go for the PSP like you have.. but if you want to utilize the midi option
go w/ a GP2X (w/ firestarter midi option)or a Netbook (using a midi i/o)

at least on the white plastic one its horrid. my came default with the screen slightly discolored from the screws being too tight. also the plastic has that cheap-toy like feeling.

it is a toy though?! lol

i agree though build quality on PSP is better feeling then gp2x.. but the gp2x is a lot better feeling than a dingoo.

Netbook issue: you cannot use ASIO and MIDI at the same time in windows.

Personally, I prefer the f100 over the f200 because:

1) I actually LIKE that joystick more than a standard d-pad. I use the f100 STRICTLY for piggin, no games so the dpad isn't missed at all

2) the f200 runs firmware 4 and up and therefore takes about 30+ to boot. I downgraded the firmware on my f100 from 4.0 to like 2 something and it takes only about 17 secs to boot.

3) BLACK

Very good to know Brady! Thanks for the insite.

I love the black casing of the f100.. but the joystick slows me down.

After some more research and some work travel with my psp as my only internet source I think I've decided to just keep it and not worry about midi.  All the emulators I've used on it so far are pretty slick and wifi has proven to be a god send.  If the Wiz gets a piggy version I may reconsider. smile
Thanks for all the info, guys!

Now that is the best news I've heard in a freaking while.  The only lacking on the PSP was MIDI and this could be a dream come true!

its funny, but i use my f200 when i need midi, my psp slim when i dont....my f100 gets mostly pikix use, bcause i hate the joystick, but its actually useful for pikix (joystick clicks are used heavily)...
id looooove if psp got midi
