Blip Festival this year was pretty rad. I didn't have any problems with venue staff until Saturday night. On Friday night any of the security guards I talked to directed me to where I need to go and couldn't have been more courteous.
The aforementioned hangup rubbed me the wrong way, that's all that should have been said about it.

hahaha!!! I really enjoyed myself and was not that annoyed at all by the venue. But then again, I thought that was normal in the USA

Blip this year was awesome as were the surrounding shows/screenings. It was fun meeting some new people while seeing others again. Can't wait until next year.

I can say from experience a few years back (not this year) that it is extremely difficult for the Blip Festival team to find an ideal venue for the event considering the shifting status and circumstances small teams of music curators and nonprofit art spaces face every year. Bit Shifter summed it all up quite nicely.
Agreed! From what little work i've done in new york, I've noticed it is almost impossible as fuck to find an affordable venue for a unique electronic music venture such as this one, let alone a venue for three days straight.
That being said, my fingers are crossed for a MUCH better venue next year
