###########################################

Rochester Chip is a monthly series of events dedicated to promoting artists and groups who use the sound chips of retro computers and video game consoles to create new original music. This exciting and often experimental form of electronic music repurposes devices such as Nintendo Gameboys and Atari 2600s as synthesizers and sequencers to create exciting new compositions in a wide array of genres.

For the month of March, we'll be featuring two incredible performers - An0va from Philadelphia, whose mathy blend of finger tapping, open guitar tunings, and Gameboy programming will leave you reeling, and BC Likes You, one of the co-organizers of Rochester Chip, who uses his guitar, Gameboy, and vocoder to create euphoric electronic pop music.

###########################################

An0va is a project designed by Daniel Davis to explore human psychology with Nintendo Gameboys, mathematical guitar licks, and relentless grooves. Up-and-coming in the midatlantic chipworld, he is also hired to fill out the sound of giants such as Cheap Dinosaurs and Autoscroll. http://facebook.com/an0va

BC Likes You is the solo effort of Bc Mostyn, guitarist for Revengineers and co-organizer of Rochester Chip. Using dual-gameboys, vocoded vocals, and a guitar, Bc Likes You aims to create infectious pop songs.

From hollering into a toy megaphone to bashing fingers on a toy piano, the shows that Cu-Cu puts on can sometimes feel like something between a DEVO concert and a birthday party with a clown wrestling a magician.

Proggy and punky and angular and strange, The Dads are an incredibly fun 4-piece to watch. Oh yeah, the guitarist plays a fretless 12-string guitar. Siiccckkkk.

Stoner riffs, punk rock tempo, and 3 people yelling. Think wall-of-noise + distorted bass + changing tempos. It's like an impending wall of doom.
