What an innovator.  And I didn't know he was Polish.  I bet he never would have imagined people would be using his computers to make music in 2012.

Such legends as Commodore 64/128, Commodore Amiga, ATARI ST, ATARI XE (XE series, XEGS series) ;o).
Jack T. -> "We need to build computers for the masses, not the classes."

Jack Tramiel was no innovator. The team of people he was lucky enough to have working for him were the innovators. He was repeatedly detrimental to the final fate of Commodore, Atari and their machines.

"We need to build computer for the masses", basically means "we need to sell as many as we can, therefore we must aim at a bigger market". All that Tramiel cared about was his bank balance. Just talk to anyone working with him back then and get a whiff of reality.
