That defmon charade again eh?

Anyway, here's that facebook screenie of the thing Johan WAS working on

Does look a lot like LSDJ. It seems to lean towards ease-of-use rather than level of control.
Wonder if wave-sequencing has to be done thru tables. Also interesting to see you can set the restart waveform (H 09 in the pic).

Thank you iLKke
looks really like LSDJ.
song, chain, phrase, table
16 rows each
It seems that you can set waveforms (11-81) in soundmenu with ADSR or Hard restart or set more comlicated waveforms (like drums) in table.
and of course control whole program like LSDJ.

The program is in very early stages, so don't expect much.

You might be better off checking out MusicLine on the Amiga, as it was probably the inspiration for LSDJ.

I don't have amiga.
But ok. I'll stay with my tested c64 trackers.
Futhermore maybee I don't have mutch time to do a proper work on my C64 with my old trackers.
But I think more live play and pattern oriented C64 tracker would be sweet.

I was going to take a shot at compiling the programs, but cc65 wasn't compiling and the AUR packages for it are out of date.

Ok.
So that means this files are unuseful?
Thank you for a try.

They could be, but you need cc65 (a compiler).
I tried to get cc65 working on my Arch Linux system, but I gave up. Meh.

Ok. it seems that both are very similar.
I didn't figure out, how to make table screen working.
anyway there have to be some load / save screen done.
some kill command is missing (mute or stop note...)

Sorry, I put the project on hold before I got tables working smile

It is harder to make a program like LSDj for C64 than for Game Boy. Despite the small size, Game Boy is actually more powerful. And cartridges also can hold a lot more code than 64 kbyte, so it is easy to just throw in a ton of features and niceties. Could be that cartridge is the correct way to go in case one wants to make a similar program for C64.

Another challenge is that SID is a lot more demanding than Game Boy sound chip, which is very simple to deal with...
