Back when I was looking at mixers, I was deciding between Behringer and Yamaha.  I read more positive reviews about the sound quality for Yamaha. (In the end I didn't buy it but got a sound card smile ).

This was the one I wanted to buy http://www.thomann.de/de/yamaha_mg_102_c.htm

A lot of people seem to like smaller mackie mixers. I have a Behringer UB802, which is really nice. (If I'm not mistaken, the only differences between it and the Xenyx802 is paint and XLR preamps)

The UB802 also have XLR-preamps.

I know, but I thought they might be different because they have different names.
UB802-Invisible Mic preamp
xenyx802-xenyx mic preamp
I don't know, they might be the same.

yeah I think it's all the same.

I have a MX602, UB802 and a xenyx 802 and they're all basically the same, just different colors and different knobs.

If you need RCA inputs over tele inputs, just get some cheap adapters.

I have the Xenyx802... it works great, as has been said, but you are going to one to pick up at least a few 1/8 (or 1/4 depending on your gameboy's output) inch stereo to 1/4 mono left and right as you will not be able to have it sound proper and correct otherwise.

I would second this, the behringer stuff is really noisy. And there is alot of cheap four channel mixers that will do what you need done by companies with better reputations for clarity. If you want simple with rca inputs only most of what ive found are more for camera and portable audio

Hope i could be of some help if you would like i could ask around for you.

old thread, but i got a yamaha mw8cx recently to replace my old tascam interface. it's a mint little 8-channel usb mixer
has pretty a solid multi-fx built in, channel compressors for 1 & 2, works great live and you can record stuff onto the computer with it. it's real neat!
