Join us as we kick off the new year with our return to Fontana's in Lower Manhattan! We're excited to welcome the following acts back to the I/O stage:

crashfaster
http://crashfaster.com/

crashfaster is a four-bodied hive mind from San Francisco, California that combines the gritty chip sounds of Gameboy, NES and C64 with hard-hitting rock and both synthetic and human vocals to form a completely original, hybrid chip-electro-rock experience. In addition to their band material, Crashfaster recently composed the soundtrack for the retro RPG Dragon Fantasy (Books I & II), and has contributed to BUTCHERED: Splatterhouse Remixes, HYDORAH: Arranged Tracks and IWADON: Hiroyuki Iwatsuki Tribute Album.

Ricky Brugal

Ricky Brugal uses repurposed video game hardware and software to compose autobiographical tunes rooted in disclosure and disruption.

SKGB
http://skgb.bandcamp.com/

SKGB (somekidwithagameboy) hails from the p|-|uture str33ts of Neo Killadelph. SKGB is here to raise the noize and make music from any piece of hardware he can find.

+LET'S DISINFECT!+
http://seanmonistat.bandcamp.com

Sean Monistat is +Let's Disinfect!+. He's been an active musician since 1999 with interests from drum&bass to thrashy, chip-based horrorpunk. Creepy, understated vocals blend with a variety of live and chip instruments to turn your brain into a skeevy, smoky punk club full of dudes that want to punch Glenn Danzig in the face. But in a good way.

invaderbacca
Using 2 custom bent NES's and some PD programming, invaderbacca takes over the senses with a visual bombardment of colors and out of sync signals to challenge your brains concept of reality.

DJ MSTRSMTH
http://www.djmrsmith.com

Ineffective superhero and world-class cat juggler, San Francisco's DJ MSTRSMTH brings the minty freshness to the dancefloor by spinning a carbonated mix of Industrial, Chiptune, Electro and New Wave jams that will have your grandmother swinging her walker into someone's crotch in a Marlboro and Scotch-fueled flurry of 1980s breakdancing moves. This is one of DJ MSTRSMTH's stops on his "Nicolas Cage is My Co-Pilot" DJ Tour - come and witness the mildly enthusiastic fist-pumping and barely discernible head-bobbing, and leave the venue saying, "Well, that was certainly someone DJing. I think."
